Whats the big deal with broadband ?

    Could anybody tell me whats the big deal with broadband ?My friend went crazy when she saw my modem ..All thats written there is ADSL broadband...Im confused..:ermm:

    You have dial-up internet, then you have broadband. Dial-up is slow. Broadband is usually fast.

    With ADSL and DSL you're still using a phone line but getting much quicker internet. And you can also use your phone to call people while you are online, unlike regular dail up.

    With Broadband, Highspeed, cable, TG, or Satelite you're connection and download speed is much faster. Sometimes even going over 50 times fater. And you can use the phone while surfing as these services do not ultilize your land line phone service.
