What’s It Like? Woke up to the sound of a car, Got out of bed, but didn’t get far, I just had a thought, about what I was gonna do, Then another entered my mind, I saw you, I went downstairs to get some food, To find that my family were all in a mood, I sit down and eat my cereal, Everything feels so surreal. I left the house went off to the bus stop, As I got to school I felt my heart stop, I went round the back and played football, ‘Till 8:15 when I heard a voice call, I went and met my mates at the front gate, Only a few minutes left ‘till I see my fate, Waited for ages for you by the stairs, Then you came up, could this cause me nightmares? I’m sure it could do, if you said “no”, Is it worth a try? It didn’t matter, so, I stayed there for the next 15 minutes, Thinking to myself that I wasn’t a winner, Then you came down, I was about to ask, When my throat clogged up, I just tried to grasp, Anything that I could reach, I didn’t know what was up, I don’t really know why I felt so rough, You ran over to me as a fell to the floor, I remember you scream for help down the hall, What ever happened to that planned out day? It all went wrong, what can I say? It ended up that I was actually fine, They had no idea why I almost died, Who knew someone could literally break your heart? Lucky for me I got time to restart, I swear that next time, I’m gonna grab the chance, And make sure that everybody gets a glance, At how ######'’ lucky I really am, And then they’ll remember how it began.
