I've been listening to the Queen of the Damned OST a lot lately and the song by Chester Bennington titled "System" kicks sooo much ass! It's creepy and atmospheric. I hope this is the kind of thing we can hear on the next LP album. I wish MTM was more like this actually. For those of you who haven't heard it, hear it now!! http://youtube.com/watch?v=kQPwBjL8WNQ
LP will never write anything like this. Jon Davis of Korn wrote it and when there was problems with him appearing on the soundtrack he asked Chester to sing it instead.
The lyrics are awful. I don't want to come off as a snob but I honestly can't believe I used to like that song so much.
Little Boxes just was...bleh. Enjoy it if you want, praise Chester's "range", but, I still thing the song is bleh.
I do too. I don't think it's a bad song, though. I just think it's...slightly fucked, to put it simply.
I honestly think Chester's vocals are the only thing that save that song. I agree about the lyrics too. I find myself feeling that way about most of Jonathan Davis' lyrics nowadays.
It's an ok song, but I don't love it or anything. I actually liked karma killer, and I love the cover of Little Boxes too. I don't understand how people can say Little Boxes is the worst thing related to LP if all it is is a cover for a fucking tv show. I mean really.
Why would you want to hear songs like that from the next LP album? XP I highly agree. I actually liked Little Boxes, but I actually scared myself when I relized that.
Aah. sytem brings back memories. The funny thing was I hear & downloaded it excatly the same time I heard "Dedicated".(For some reason i thought both of them were side project songs by mike & Chaz). I love em both equaly. Though i admit you have to me in a certain kind of mood to reaaaally appeciate system... *evil laugh*
