This thread is to discuss the recent happenings with Britney Spears. While some people may feel tempted to flat out trash her, lets try to keep this thread respectable as there are no doubt some Britney Spears fans on this board/the net who would be upset seeing a thread with nothing but negative comments. Personally I'm quite worried for Britney Spears. I see her heading down the same self destructive path as Anna Nicole Smith, and it's quite depressing to see someone who used to be so happy, suffer such a fall from grace. Latest update: http://x17online.com/ Britney is seen in the video attacking a Paparazzi (or KFed?)'s car and then attacking a paparazzi trying to film her before speeding off in a friend's car down the road. Your thoughts?
She has...but the question is, why did she crack like she did? It is strange to see her just go insane and start degrading herself in such a god awful way.
I'm not surprised. This girl has been exposed to the media for many years now. Since she was a teenager, she's been known around the world. She is constantly followed by the media. Everything she does is studied under a microscope, it seems, by the media. She is a specimen in the study we call 'Celebrity Life'. She got tired of it all and cracked. Obviously, this is not good and it's rousing up some concern. But I'm not surprised it happened. I can honestly say that I saw something along these lines coming. I hope it all works out for her in the end, though.
There are probably a million things that are worth more attention and even more people who deserve the sympathy more. I did originally compare her to Pete Doherty but then I remembered that, amidst all his problems, he's made one good album and has married someone who a lot of people find extremely attractive (I don't but oh well), and you could say that he at least has talent to waste.
I don't buy that "its the media!" bullshit either. Thouands of celebs are exposed to the media like she is and don't shave their heads and check in and put of rehab 3 times in a week. If she quit being such an an attention whore, the media would ignore her, just like they did for the years before her last album and divorce. And yes, I do think she's doing this for attention since she dropped off the radar after ANS died. Back before she started acting this way, I could watch cnn for a week and not hear her name. As I said before, she made her own mess, and I have zero sympathy for her.
I agree 100% with Todd. What is sad is that if she never cheated on Justin Timberlake a few years back, none of these events (K-Fed, kids, heaving partying, shaving head, etc.) would have never happened. Who cheats on Justin Timberlake?!? Seriously. She needs to wake up and stop being a selfish brat. She did make her own mess, but she needs to truly realize that, fix herself and move on.
Personally I don't care. She's trying to garner some attention in the worst way. No sympathy is coming from me any time soon.
She's a waste of time. The media should completely stop making any stories on her, and then we'll see how she recovers. I'm sure she'd be completely normal when there are no cameras giving a shit about her anymore. Most likely she'd cry out at first, but then all of a sudden everyone would realize all she was doing was bringing attention to herself. She really makes me sick. She had such a promising future ahead of her, but I really can't see it recovering, and I actually didn't think she was terrible in the past.
Totally agree. Her life has been better than thousands of people's lives so far, this isn't the end. She'll just get the best people in the world to take care of her with all her money. Or at least that's what she should spent it on...
The minute she married 'K-Fed', it was pretty darn obvious she'd end up being the mess she is now. Hopefully she'll recover from all of this, but I'm suspecting it will take years.
Even if there's something actually wrong with her, it's her own fault. I don't blame her celebrity life at all. Tons of celebrities live the same exact lifestyle with no problems. So even if that's what everyone's going to say was the problem, she deserved it for living destructively.
Has anyone heard the theory that she shaved her head because Kevin threatened to test her hair for drugs? Okay, so I heard it on SNL and that can be taken with a grain of salt, but it's probably the best reason I'd heard so far.
