What Somewhere I belong is about

Well I don't know if most of you guys are losers like me but...a long time ago in the L.P chatroom (which I saved) there was a question asked pertaining to what inspired them to write their new single somewhere I belong. "it was a fan letter written to us when we were just coming up and the girl said "your songs inspire me to go on I recently came from a rough situation I was taken away from my home because I missed to much school, I was sent to a foster home it's like I'm lost now with this new family and I don't know where I belong anymore" - Mike-

Hence it makes sense now...it was a girl's fan letter...it was her fault she got sent to a foster home - "and the fault is my own"
thus the "somewhere I belong" title
that girl whoever you are you must feel pretty dam special right now...

I dont think shes lucky, its not very lucky to be taken away from your real family and put with people you dont even know.

I think the word would be honored to have Linkin Park base a song off of her.

That is so awesome. That's why I love Linkin Park. They can connect with their fans so easily. It brings a tear to my eye... I love it.
