well...what concept do you want more. Do you have good reasons to carry all of your tunes around or do mostly listen to your tunes at home.
Yeah cuz I don't have a car, and I don't want to bring my cds all over. And I listen to them at home a lot. So It's really hard.
If you listen to them more at home, then get surround sound. It might be a pain to carry around the CDs but if you keep them all together in a big case, it shouldn't be too bad.
ive got a better idea.. get a different mp3 player than an ipod.. store a lot more music and save a ton of money at the same time! if you get surround sound you can use it for movies as well.. id personally opt for the surround sound unless you are out of the house more than in.
I'd go for the Ipod. See, surround sound at the moment is quite expensive if you want a decent system. And 7.1 is on the horizon, so you may as well hold fire on a 5.1 system. The Ipod (or just MP3 players in general) are so useful it's unbelievable. And once you've got one, you'll absolutely hate CD players and laugh at anyone who owns one. That said, surround sound does offer the superior listening experience. But that will cost you more. And it's not like most programmes are broadcast in 5.1, very few are. You'll have about 5 million wires to hook up (incredibly annoying) and you'll have wires all around the room connecting to speakers. You're not gonna wanna use the thing all the time too, unless of course you have very understanding neighbours.... or they're just deaf. I'd say the Ipod. It's easier and cheaper. Just make sure you get one with a lot of space.
sorround sound is better in my view because i'm at home alot and i have 4 speackers in my room ( one in each corner) and i think it's great , much better than an ipod.
Get the surround sound. It's easier to lose the iPod, AND when 7.1 comes out you can still sell your old system for a lot of money (since most people don't have 5.1 anyways). Or even better, just give the money to me and I'll decide for you (and keep it for myself).
It all really depends on the mp3 player you get. Oh, and my CD player owns those iPods like nothing. Atrac3plus mp3 CD player, lasts 80 hours with atrac3plus CDs. On each CD, it can carry about 20 to 25 CDs, so I won't have to worry about interchanging discs for a while. Even at that, I'd only have to carry 2 other CDs at a time.
It's not like buying a 5.1 System is a waste should 7.1 actually ever hit the mainstream. Add two more speakers and a new amp and keep everything else... Or just get a 7.1 amp and run 5.1 in the meantime.
Oh yeah, my vote goes to Surround Sound but it apparently isn't a poll option, only the iPod and some strange product named Sorround Sound.
Ok, my parents are getting me both, They already got the Surround Sound, And I have to pay for half of the iPod. So it's all good.
