Ok, I'm in deep shit now. I downloaded Microsoft Office 2007 Beta from the official site, for the sake of trying new software. I installed it, and upgraded my current Office. Eyerything went fine, until a little window popped up asking me to authorize my software by connecting on the net to verify my product key. Since the key and all were from the official site itself, I clicked yes to porcede. But so far. the last 20 times I tried, it could not establish connection with the net. My net IS connected, and at the same time I was online, and surfing websites, so the problem isn't web connections. And it says within 50 uses if I don't authorize then I'll not be able to view Office to edit files. And what will I do without being able to use word and Powerpoint?
    PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME.

its in the beta stage so you should't have downloaded it.most of the times the beta programmes are troublesome. My advise is go to control panel>add remove progs.Uninstall the program.

I know about Beta software, but a friend of mine has a copy, and regardless of what anyone says, it's very cool, plus basically she does whatever I do on the comp, no complex work with office, so far for her there have been no bugs. Infact, I've checked with this online,it's a problem with Microsoft's server which is overloaded. And now I have just 35 times or something to try, so I'll be trying at odd hours to see if I can catch a server free moment. The funny thing is, my friend, who got it from her brother, was never asked to activate the product (she got it before Microsoft's offical release on the site) and even if she was, she just clicked 'cancel' and it never disturbed her again. I'm taking the dump from her, and if that doesnt work I'll try a system restore. Help/Addvice still appreciated. Thanks, Rohan!

Good idea. Well, evil 07 is gone now and I have my old Office XP back. Shame for the looks, though.

Windows/Another firewall might have been blocking it.
