Saw Super 8. Too tired to give a lengthy list of all my complaints (which is not to say I hated it; in fact I think it's a contender for my personal favorite of this summer). I give it a 7.7/10 (which for me is a good score).

    Yes it was! 5/5.

Best way to drive a monster movie forward is with a story, and J.J. Abrams succeeded in pulling it off.

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (Documentary) (2008) - 5/5
Wow. I really don't have much to say about this. It left me speechless. Such an immensely heartbreaking yet motivational story... it moved to the verge of tears. The story aside I'd have to say that the creator of this film, Kurt Kuenne, did an exceptional job bring this tragic story to life. The editing skills displayed here are some of the best I've ever seen done in a film. Not that the story isn't interesting enough but the editing and music took this film to a whole another level.

    Resident Evil : Afterlife

Worst RE adaptation by far. Yay for A Perfect Circle's Outsider remix to save the day at the end.

That was one of the biggest downers I've ever watched, definitely one of the saddest stories ever.

I saw X-Men: First Class last night, definitely the best X-Men movie so far and quite possibly the best Marvel movie to date. 8/10

A Bittersweet Life - 8/10. Not a super deep plot, but it's so well done. Foreign films are winning me over so hard the last couple months.

I didn't think Super 8 was an incredibly awesome movie, but they certainly knew how to manipulate the audience's emotions. I'm particularly captivated by the scene in Joe's bedroom with the camera rolling.

    Hangover.
People say it's great, I'd say it's good.

Recently, I rewatched RENT: Live on Broadway. This is a taping of the last RENT performance on Broadway. Yeah, I'm a musical nerd. And I nearly cried.

Also, The Time Traveler's Wife again.

Captivity - It was pretty much just plain stupid and pointless. (2/10)

    Stealth
    Power Blue
    The Mechanic

RED was good but some of the action scenes got a tad ridiculous and melodramatic.

    Inception - 9/10

Never seems to get boring no matter how many times I watch it. I love that in a film.

    Kung Fu Panda 2 4/5

Took the family to see this movie. Really enjoyed it but my poor 2 year old daughter went to sleep before the previews could finish!

    Sucker Punch - 6/10

The art direction, soundtrack, and hot ladies, are the only reason this movie gets above a 5, otherwise it's just a mess, a hot mess.
