I still don't understand the hate against Valentine's Day and for In Pieces.

While I like Valentine's day as a whole, I can understand some people have a problem with it. The ending has really "naive" lyrics, I'll put it that way. I'm not a lyrical fanatic at all, but "On Valentine's day...ooooh" in a song called "Valentine's day", come one lol Then I know where it comes from (Chester divorce), but I think there were better ways of expriming that message lyrically. Also, Chester voice in that track annoyed me at first.

 

Not taking into consideration remixes (I'm not a fan of Reanimation except for 2 o 3 songs), interludes/intros and/or collaborations (Standing in the Middle is a pain in the ass), the album song that I like the least is In Between.

 

OMG I CANT BELIEVE SOME OF THE TRACKS SOME OF YOU ARE LISTING. I'd say Lies Greed Misery or Don't Stay.

 

Don't Stay has the worst lyrics.

I don't know about the worst song as a whole, though.

Don't Stay and Hit the Floor are the only ones I can absolutely not stand.


I'm kinda surprised that people chose songs like One Step Closer, Numb, New Divide and even Bleed It Out as their worst songs. Of course those songs are overplayed as fuck, but they're pretty damn essential to the band. And if you don't like those songs I don't know how you can even like Linkin Park as a whole. Would you people even enjoy Linkin Park concerts? I mean pretty much all they play are their mainstream singles like Numb, What I've Done etc. I don't think you would have much fun at a LP concert if you dislike their mainstream songs.

 

Because those overplayed songs can be boring as hell.

 

Given Up is bad, but not as bad as Don't Stay. It doesn't need any better, though.

 

We don't dislike their mainstream songs. We (I) dislike songs with shitty lyrics. And One Step Closer or Numb has pretty shitty one. Even Hit The Floor is a better song from ANY of those because the instrumental is pretty unique compared to the rest of Meteora or to HT even if the lyrics sucks.

 

I think that people shitting on Don't Stay or OSC lyrics are missing the point of those songs. They're about situations in which you want to say "F*ck You". They're about situations in which you don't really want to go all poetic. Then you might or might not like those kind of songs, it's a matter of taste (or maturity if you want, but I think even mature people can have their moments of "shut up when I'm talking to you" state of mind )

OSC or Don't Stay instrumental with agressive vocals and "Don't apologize, I'm loosing what I don't deserve" type lyrics just wouldn't work. Just saying...

 

Yeah... Okay, there are a few songs that are not as good as the others. But I wouldn't say they're bad or anything.

 

Hit the floor, Numb, in between, wtcfm, robot boy, the messenger, burn it down

 

Burning In The Skies, Skin To Bone, Until It Breaks. I really can't get into these songs, hm.
