One of the members of LP decided to leave? Should he be replaced? If he was replaced would you still continue to listen to LP and like them as the band they are now? I thought this might be an interesting thing to post , so i gave it a try..
The only two people I could imagine leaving would be Joe and Chester. Joe because of his future in film and Chester because of how he became apart of the group. He wasn't an original member like Mike, Rob, Brad, Joe and Dave, who were all there from the beginning.
Chester and Mike would definately not be easy replacements. I'd see the band in a new perspective but I would still enjoy and listen to them...i think...
I honestly think they're all replaceable. It just might actually help boost the "new sound" that people are looking for. They'll most likely continue to be my favorite band as long as they keep putting out quality music.
Every member has something about them that cannot replaced because of their place in the band. Even though Chester wasn't really an original member from the very beginning, he has a very important part in the band, and now, the band treats him like an old friend. And even though Joe has his movie coming up, he was an original member as well. He met up with Mike at Art School, you guys know that. But it's probably undoubted that Joe will have to take some time off of the band to do this movie. Brad is not an easy replacement, a lot of people say he is, but he really isn't. Brad's a unique guitarist and even though he's a power chord kind of guy, he's extremely talented. As Linkin Park said before, the new album that they plan to release in early 2005 will have a different sound, but will still have a sound which will let you know that it's a Linkin Park song. If there was a member that could be replaced, all of them could, if one of them was replaced, I probably wouldn't listen to them. Why? The current position of the band is something that no one will get over. The music they make now is of extreme talent. To change that would be hard thing to get used to. And I wouldn't like to look at Linkin Park from a different perspective. It wouldn't feel the same. Overall, the band is as good as it is. And the band is capable of having that new sound that everyone has been looking for ever since the release of Meteora. I'll say it now. I don't want any of the members to be replaced.
brad and phoenix both seem easily replacable, i mean phoenix WAS replaced once and you hardly noticed lol I wouldnt care if either of them left but Chester, Mike, Joe, and Rob all seem kinda irreplacable...i wanna see some heavier drumming from Rob though...
I always saw Phoenix as the one to leave, I agree with your theory for Joe, but I dont think Chester would leave, unless he became really ill.
Phoenix, Brad and Rob seem replaceable. Mike, Joe and Chester really add the style to the band. Mike with the writing and production. Chester has the irreplaceable voice. Joe adds extra style and does the videos (come on LP vids wouldn't be the same without Joe).
I think Phoenix would be an easy replacement, I mean they got along fine without him during Hybrid Theory, right?
Perhaps, but Phoenix had written almost all the bass on Hybrid Theory already anyway. They were just lucky enough that Brad could play bass and recorded for 9 of the 12 songs.
I will not like it if someone decide to live the band and be replaced by another one.If this think will happen i think LP will broke up soon
I think the only two irreplaceable members are Mike and Chester; Mike for his input and songwriting, and Chester because he has such an awesome voice. I'm not sure about Joe or Brad, while the rhythm section (Phi and Rob) would be the most easily replaced. Oh yeah, DJHahn, I find your avatar amusing and downright scary at the same time :wth: .
nice idea for a topic if mike, chester, joe, or rob left it thikn the quality would go to :wth: i think brad and dave could be replaced without us even knowing lol (thats my own opinion though) its kind of an evil topic this, we are picking off the band members which we dont think are strong enough! to tell you the truth if a band member left it wouldnt be linkin park anymore i dont think, i think they would all go their seperate ways and look for more oppertunities elsewhere, maybe in music, maybe not (joe)
