    Alright. Typical question.

But I honestly do not have a fucking clue.

    What computer should I buy?

I'm getting a lot of money this summer, and I have possibly about 500-600 bucks to spare on a new computer. Name some good ones.

And do me a favor. Don't just name Macs. That's all I'm hearing these days. No matter how good they are, give me some options for Windows.

Not necessarily a laptop. More Desktop Computers. But laptop recommendations will be considered.

    Thanks.

Sorry if I sound a bit harsh (do me a favor part). Not in the best mood right now.

Sorry about not havng recommendations, but if you want a decent computer you'll be paying upwards of $600.

Mac Mini + Parallels or Boot Camp (allows you to run Windows). xD

You can't really get that good of a computer for $500-600. =\

Are you sure there aren't any comps for around 500 bucks?

    Shit.

    Hmm.

    700?

What are you going to be using it for?

If you're going to be gaming, you might want to look up close to $1.5k, and if you're going to be using it for daily internet use, a good one should be about $800-$1k.

Yeah, it really depends on what you need it for. Gaming needs it to be really good and expensive- especially if you go into laptop territory, Regular internet and MSN use, that could be a lot cheaper as you can get a relatively crappy (RE: cheap) video card and less RAM. Although it won't matter a whole lot, a dualcore processor could still be benificial to internet browsing as it runs multiple applications with more ease. Again though, that can raise the price.

You can start a good computer minus graphics card for 500$. All you need is a motherboard, RAM, processor, power supply and case.

It can be done, especially because all AMD processors are halving in price very very soon.

Well, thanks to all of you.

I had a good talk with Tomi, and I had a lot of my questions answered (except for one, which I hope you guys can help me with). I think I'm going to buy the Mac Mini for 800, but I have a question.

For the monthly payments, would I have to pay interest?
