Hey I'd like some recommendations too. Something in the suspense thriller/murder mystery/detective genre. Looking for something that will have me on the edge of my seat.

Going through my yearly re-reading of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Currently about a quarter-way through The Two Towers.

Manga wise I've been reading Fullmetal Alchemist Volume 7 - 8 - 9 combo, and I have another book (non-manga) called The Big Kitty I am starting on after this.

I like to read, and pretty much read anything lieing around.

    I need recommendations >_>.

The last two books I got done reading were The Great Gatsby and The Hunger Games. I have Catching Fire lieing around for when I have time to read it but that won't be for a while.

My final exam in American literature is coming up. I have to read Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Scarlet Letter", as well as "Paradise" & "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison. It's a 45-minutes long oral exam fully in English which is quite scary for a German girl :WTF:
At least I'm done then and have my official "Master of Disaster" degree XD

I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore. The movie does the book no justice!

Be sure to pick up the recently released book in the series, Dark Tower 4.5: The Wind Through the Key hole.
    ---
    As for me
    I've recently reread

    Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Girl Who Play with Fire
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest

Finished reading "The Wind Through the Keyhole: The Dark Tower" a while ago by Stephen King.

Rereading "11/22/63" by Stephen King. I'm on the last few pages.
I'm also re-reading "Middlesex" by Eugenides, Jeffrey, also on the last few pages.

I really do need some recommendations... anyone? I'm open to any genre.

Not sure if you read this series or not, but when I was younger I HIGHLY enjoyed the Wind On Fire trilogy, you might want to try that out.

A Song Of Ice And Fire: Book One - A Game Of Thrones

Just picked it up today. So far I find it to be highly entertaining.

Hmm. I don't know much about those. At least recent thrillers. If you're down for detective fiction like Agent O, Raymond Chandler is a safe bet. The Long Goodbye is about 60 years old, but it's definitely worth a read if you like a good mystery.

Jesse, have you read any of Haruki Murakami's work? I know you're into Japanese culture, so I think he might be right up your alley.

I'm rereading Foundation by Isaac Asimov. What a work of genius.
