With all the ATS remixes being released, if you could choose any artist / producer to remix an A Thousand Suns track, which artist would it be and what song would they remix? Let your imagination go and be as creative as you like. Also, don't be afraid to give more than one answer.
"When they come for me" Reinterpreted by The Humble Brothers! "Blackout" Reinterpreted by Jay Gordon & Orgy! Bring back some Reanimation Shiaz
Ah, I started a thread similar to this earlier this year. :" Anyway, "Blackout" by The Prodigy, yes. Or, maybe, Celldweller, that could work as well. "Burning In The Skies" by Future Funk Squad. "When They Come For Me" might work with a dubstep treatment by Hervé or Excision or Skrillex or someone ... I don't know who could take on "Iridescent", so I'd like to see Shinoda try that one.
Songs that are brilliant in their original packaging and would probably loose their essence and tone if remixed so therefore should never be touched are: Iridescent(with the exception of an orchestral version) The Messenger and possibly Jornada Del Muerto. The rest are up for grabs if paired well with artists with the talent and ability to not get carried away. That said, i think the album should be left alone. Reanimation was awesome but I want something new. I'm sure LP can just as well come up with another great idea like all the other ones they've had if people leave them alone and stop demanding they repeat themselves. Although, any song that features the vocals of Aaron Lewis is something i can never turn down. His performance on Crawling is still my favourite guest artist on the whole Reanimation album.
That actually sounds really sweet, lol. Framing Hanley - When They Come For Me. They made Lollipop good, and not to say WTCFM isn't already BADASS, but I'd like to see what they do with it.
i'd like to see eminem freestyle over when they come for me or waiting for the end that would be dope
Pendulum remixing really anything would be badass. I'd love to hear Trent take a crack at it, but that's a fever dream right there. IPS would do a pretty badass version of Wretches and Kings I think.
so: BITS -> Moby WTCFM -> eminem robot boy -> m. shinoda himself WTFE -> trent reznor Blackout -> prodigy W&K -> Aphex Twin (WTF) Iridescent -> trent reznor The Catalyst -> Gorillaz The Messenger -> Bob Dylan either that or the whole album remixed by keaton hashimoto
