I see that the outro for waiting for the end that's played live is referred to a Wall Of Noise Outro can anyone tell me why is that ? i was scared when they stopped doing it for a couple of shows in 2015 but it back now and i think it the best part of their live performance Sorry for bad english
It's called "wall of noise" because it's noisy. It gets louder, noiser and more bombastic until it ends.
It's basically what minuteforce said. Plus, it works as an epic, over-the top ending to the already epic live performances of WFTE.
I don't like Wall of Noise at all. It simply does not fit the song. Maybe as an extended bridge for BIO or anything else, but WFTE is a very chill song that slowly builds up into a pop rock electronic infused track towards the end, then to toss in "wall of noise" which literally is noise just doesn't cut it. I was thrilled to see it was gone at the Indiana show I attended, but that doesn't seem permanent.
Aw, I love wall of noise. It really adds to the song for me. I like listening to the WFTE live performances just for the Foot Patrol intro and the wall of noise outro.
New songs? For you to complain? Besides, what's the meaning of live show without different song transitions.
+1 So tell me, what do you think Linkin Park have to do, Queef? Because you seem to think they're so wrong, man.
They have been consistently putting on new material since their brief hiatus between ''Meteora'' and ''Minutes To Midnight''. I don't think the band playing live shows is getting in the way of them writing new material since they often write and even record on the road. I happen to like a lot of the extensions and stuff that they add to songs during their live show. Sometimes it can revive or spicen up an old song that I may no longer care for, that has happened to me a few times. It often just enhances a song.
