Hi everyone, I got a program that has a vocal remover on it and i heard very weird things. In the beginning of Cure for the Itch, u can hear dogs barking. Listen very closely. During "takes me one step closer to the edge," I think Chester is also saying it at a higher pitch. During In The End, Chester repeated some of the lines Mike rapped. AWESOME PROGRAM. It is called Virtual DJ

Virtual Dj is a product from Atomix Productions which previously released Atomix MP3. You can download a 30 day trial. It's a good program as long as you set the skin to "advanced 1024x768" and you can use virtual turntables.

First of all, you will never geta karaoke style track on any song with a program like this. Especially LP as they have lyrics embedded in the beats.

You can hear all of that even when the vocals aren't removed.

The "dogs barking" are mock people in the audience coughing. I have no idea what's up with the cat mewing, though.

In the middle of the screen (vertical & horizontal) there are 6 small buttons...one of them says REC (=record)...you press it, then do your business on the turntable and then press START RECORDIND

Since I can't double-post- PLZ tell me (in steps) how to remove vocals......thanks

if you missed this, it means the vocal track cant be removed, because it's mixed with the instrument tracks.

sry i didnt respond. what u do is go to the middle of the screen and see some buttons, with a lightning bolt etc. CLICK ON THE ONE WITH THE CIRCLE AND THE CURVED LINES AROUND IT. You will see effects like flanger, brake, and overloop. go to the bottom of the program and look for an eject button (MAKE SURE U PUSH THE EJECT BUTTON ON THE SIDE OF THE PROGRAM WHERE THE SONG IS PLAYING!) You can replace any of the three effects. Hopefully in the folder that pops up, u will see a file vocal. Press that. Then play the song and add the effect. HOPE IT WORKS!!!
(note: some songs won't work, and almost every song, it will delete the bass, or drums, or wherever the vocals are incorporated into.

No I didnt push the kill button...

I have a little sound thing on my computer (which just effectively died me again) that allows you to get rid of vocals and allows you to change the surrounding environment.

Anyways, if you listen to OSC, you can really listen in on Mike's rapping part in the chorus, which doesn't sound like Chester at all. It sounds awsome.
