My friend's dad has at least 1000 records and an old record player. We used to sluff school and hang out in the garage and listen to 80s music. Good times. I'm not gonna even try to list them. But our favs are all the old Metallica, Motley Crue, Ted Nugent(lol), and even old 80s pop like Flock of Seagulls.
My family has quite a few vinyls from bands like the Beatles, Queen, etc. The ones I have are: 12" LP's New Found Glory - Nothing Gold Can Stay (Signed by the whole band) 7" Singles The Explosion - Here I Am NFG - I Don't Wanna Know NFG - All Downhill From Here NFG - Failure's Not Flattering NOFX - Fuck The Kids Ash - Orpheus Offspring - (Can't Get My) Head Around You The Killers - All These Things That I've Done I plan on getting Sticks And Stones or NFG's self titled on 12" aswell. I'll have to decide which one when I've got enough money...
I have the Youth Of Today Live From CBGB's 7" Vinyl with the blue vinyl (11 made) and the Youth Of Today Live From The Van Hall, Amsterdam (1,500 made).
My dad has a huge collection of albums and its kinda fun over the summer to look through them to see what he was into. A lot of Led Zeppelin and some Beatles albums. Allman Brothers, Stray Cats, and Def Leppard to list a few of the bands. My dad has Prescence, Led Zeppelin IV (Untitled), Song Still Remains the Same, and some live Led Zeppelin album. Good stuff to listen to when modern rock radio gives me a headache.
I don't have any but my dad has loads of vinyl's atleast 300, lol. He has alsorts like Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zepplin...

How come?
Because it's at least 1000 records. Just pretty much EVERYTHING that was big in the 80s, mostly rock. We listen to mostly the rock like Van Halen, Black Sabbath/Ozzy, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot,, Twisted Sister, KISS, Metallica, AC/DC, etc. And those are in no order... lol.
If any of you want some vinyls, it might be surprising, but Hot Topic has a good selection. That's where I got my Mars Volta vinyl singles, and saw a Bikini Kill vinyl there too.
I have a few Linkin Park ones, but that's about all. Like everyone else here, my dad has tons of Vinyl.
I dont have any Other than collecting, is there any point of buying vynils nowadays since CDs have so much better sound quality?

lol. never mind... I misunderstood the text...I thought it said listen instead of list. nvm. @ Todd: 1. Scratch DJs love the feel of scratching vinyl instead of CDs. 2. Some people with a good ear think that vinyl has a warmer sound because it contains all the audio data, not just a digital replication of the majority of the frames. The sample rate (usually 44.1 KHz) is the number of frames used in the track per second.
