Remember the old Nickelodeon? The TV station that is now infested with stupid shows like "The Chalk Kid" and "Sponge Bob Squarepants" is no longer valubale to me. I remember as a kid I used to watch Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Salute your Shorts, All Real Monsters, All That, Pete and Pete, and Are you Afraid of the Dark. Those shows, they were all FILLED with stupidity, stupidity, and even more stupidity (ren and stimpy for example?) but they were funny as hell and I loved them! Child hood past times are somthing I like to look back at often, and I posted this to remind you people of a great TV station that once was superior over all television stations. I know most of you here at least loved somthing out of Nickelodeon because I know I did and to tell you the truth, it makes me angry that they rid of all those shows. I mean...I don't want to watch a show about a SPONGE.. :wth:

As a kid, I never had cable, so I don't really know. Actually, I still don't have cable.

I lead a sheltered life.

I liked the Fairly odd parents, til I saw em all and lost inerest in the whole station. Comedy Central fills in just fine.

The only show on Nickelodeon I like is Invader Zim. Everything else is trash.

Old-skool Nickelodeon was definitely the best. Angry Beavers was the greatest show ever made.

Are you serious? No wonder I haven't seen it lately.

They should make it MORE violent and put it on Adult Swim.

I think they should leave it at its amazing point, put it on Adult Swim, and make MORE episodes!

I miss those shows. And Angry Beavers used to be about the only bond between me and my brother. I was Norbert and he was Dag, and we would beat the sh*t out of each other during the opening music. Some heck of a bond, but it got us laughing together. Now its off. Family bond ruined..:argh: Invader Zim was awesome too. And what happened to Clarissa? Rocko? Pete and Pete used to be my favorite show. I loved the one's tattoo lol. I even had the Ren n Stimpy video game. Beat that one...lol. I miss old Nickelodeon. I do like Spongebob, Chalkzone (dont know why...) and the Fairly Oddparents too though. They should have like some sort of "Bring it Back" week and bring out some of the old cartoons from the vault, get what Im sayin?

One thing you guys probably dont know, and I found out, is that Nick has this contract with all of its shows that lets them do a standard 64 episodes of a show. If the show hits a certain ratings level by the end of those 64, they can make more. Rugrats for example, hit that mark. Invader Zim and Angry Beavers didnt. In fact, the people who made Beavers were so mad by their cancellation, they devoted the last episode to baching Nickelodeon, and from that they never got their last episode aired. Depressing.

Yeah my older bro Drew, he's 18. he thought they should just make a seperate station called "Vintage Nick" (notice the topic name lol) and they would have all the old Nickelodeon shows. I forgot about space cases oh my god I loved that show! Wow Nate thanks for reminding me I shoulda added that on the list..that show was indeed godly lol. Also..I forget the name, but there was a show on Nickelodeon where there were two seperate teams and they fought eachother by playing a video game, racing to the finish. I forget what it was called though so if you remember, remind me...:chemist:

I want Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers and Salute Your Shorts back :(.

Those were some of my favorite shows back then. Now Nick is like... Teenie infested with innocent shows. *sigh* I remember when they showed brains... and... almost nudity in Rocko's Modern Life... Which used to be on Nick... Now all you see it... Pop music and wannabe stars .

    *shivers*

We need the violent cartoons and all-out kickass shows back!....:wth:
