I really hope that the iTunes countdown is happening today

 

I think ITunes trolled us now without even trying to.

But if it does happen, tonight at 9 will probably be last chance. It could happen later in the week but I would be shocked

 

So... is that in 30 minutes?

 

I'm not getting my hopes up with the iTunes thing but it does seem strange that they officially put those track lengths there without the others way ahead of time. Something funky is going on there, just don't know what.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did the iTunes album stream thing a day/week before like they did with LT but who the heck knows.

I like the different melody Chester sings during the bridge. All the chorus should of had that melody to differentiate it from GATS.

 

Nah. The melody change within the song is what makes it a stand-out. If it was all the same during the whole song, it would be less interesting IMO.

Now, I really wish that bridge was longer. That chord progression during the heavy part is killer, and the synth part is super beautiful too. But both are so, so short ahah. Take those elements, give them more space to shine, let the instrumental flow and breathe, build some progression, and this song would probably end up as one of my all-time favorite. Because sonically, I'm a big, big fan.

Nevertheless, I suppose they kept the track short on purpose. As long as it works in the context of the record, I'll be happy. It's already pretty good anyway, and of course, the studio version will be even better

 

Yeah i noticed the live version is shorter than the actual track length i believe? So maybe the bridge will be longer or something.

The song was pretty cool but I couldn't understand what the lead singer was saying/screaming! I really liked how the intro was chill and calming and then the song just explodes half-way through.

Anyway, I hope that Wastelands releases in high quality in at least the next few days. I think my hype would start to die if it was any longer!

 

The singer sounds too boyish and emo to me but everything else sounded great.
