Concert footage of Chester's fall during Monday night's Linkin Park performance in Melbourne, Australia has made its way onto YouTube. The fall happened at the very beginning riff of "Papercut" as he jumped from the steps at the center of LP's stage set-up and fell ten feet to the main stage. True to form, however, Chester gets back up and finishes the song out like a trooper. You can see him favoring his arm, as he remains in one place at the side of the stage for a good portion of the song, his arm draped over his knee. Damn that shows a lot of integrity to finish off the show after a fall like that. Chaz always does that little jump on Papercut, just like in the papercut or faint video, never thought it would get him injured. Kudos for finishing the show
Haha I got the credits. Well then thanks to Snake for showing me the video *plays Iron Maiden - The Trooper*
Goes to show how Chester is truly devoted to their fans. Hope he heals quickly and didn't get bad injuries.
That sucks so much. I can't believe Chester still sang the whole show after that happened. He got right back up after that too, it looks like it fucking killed. Chester is the shit.
Wow, that looked painful as hell. Man is very dedicated...did the song with no breaks to say "OUCH, I BROKE ME ARM!" XD Very impressive that he completed the set.
Haha. I love LP but you have to admit that's still funny. I give credit to Chester though because he's one tough mofo to keep going.
That looked like it hurt more than what I imagened. And I wanna show how stupid my boyfriend is when it comes to LP (and yes, my name is Amanda Sivak) : "Amanda Sivak: I can't believe he went through the whole show though Manuel Campos: XD I think he knows why "The show must go on" Amanda Sivak: Someone on the LPAssociation forum mentioned that quote Manuel Campos: *blink* Well it SHOULD go on, What would you do? Abandon millions of fans for a broken wrist, or keep playin' till you drop? Manuel Campos: XD I meant it too Amanda Sivak: He's wrist was swollen so bad at the end of the show it looked like a gold ball was under the skin (from what Mike said) and he was lucky it didn't go through the skin, or that a broken peice didn't move so that he would need surgery Manuel Campos: Ouch...Atleast he made it, otherwise that would've ended his carrer Amanda Sivak: No it wouldn't have, not very likely. Sure, he wouldn't be able to play guitar live and Mike or Brad would have to do "his parts" of studio recordings and they wouldn't be played live, but not ending his career Manuel Campos: Oh...Well you basicly said some parts on what I ment" But I agree w/ what most everyone has to say: Chester is very commited and strong. I've actually gotten some hope in life because of this (I've been suicidal before as well). God.. but I'm glad he's okay. Besides, has there EVER been an LP tour (including PR) that Chester (or any one else in the band) hasn't had to go to the ER for some reason or miss a show? *fixed spelling error from "shoe" to "show"*
*tear* Ohhh my, i feel sooo freaking bad for him... That must have really sucked. =\ Hope he feels better.
fuck! that looked painful. three fucking loud cheers for chester for his will and determination. he's so much more than just a mere entertaining rockstar.
I don't think so. During the Meteora tour Chester got a spider bite on his ass; but honestly I don't know if there is anything else though.
That's what I thought. ...Heh, I remember Chester sitting on a chair during an LPTV episode screaming "I GOT A FUCKING BUG(?) BITE ON MY ASS!" Though I thought he was just in pain from something that happened because of a show.
Chester became violently sick and was hospitalized with a hiatal hernia during the summer of 2003, prompting the band to cancel video plans and shows for a full month while he stayed in hospital. Just search "hospital" in this forum to read about it.
