I was thinking the other day. There are only so far video games can go in terms of graphics, etc so what happends when that is reached. You cant have better graphics than something that looks like in real life down to the last pixel. What kind of things do you think they will employ to prolong the life. Interactive video games where you actually move around, etc.
Video games will most likey be turned into movies you can act out (in terms of graphics) and i don't look forwrard to that. I think the graphics right now are fine, not so real that it looks like a picture or film. I don't like it when games go all real on me. I prefer to have the element of fantasy in the kind of games i play. But yeah, the whole gaming world could just come to a stand still becuase theres always some guy who thinks he can make it better and eventualy someone will probably ruin games
I think there will always be something to improve on in video games, whether it be graphics, gameplay, audio, etc etc. No game is perfect. No game will ever be perfect. If by some chance a game is perfect, then that's when the video games should die out, because what's to improve on when a game is perfect? Same goes for anything. Music, Television, anything. If it's perfect, why go on? You might as well just quit. But, in my opinion, nothing is perfect, so video games can't die, unless the US bans them or something, and even them, they won't cease to exist.
Yeah, there will be no thing as "the perfect video game" there will be games that are close to perfection though, such as Resident Evil 4 and Half-Life 2
Video games will not die for a long time. Designers use video games in a lot of new ways. The army has adapted several of these tactics to train their soldiers. A good example is the newest virtual reality game "America's Army" which has you in a suit and gun and it takes you through missions. Video games aren't always just for entertainment anymore so any way you put it, I think we're going to find new uses for them. Also, more and more video games are becoming used as visual entertainment like web series and such (The Strangerhood, Red vs. Blue, etc.) so all in all, video games are still going to be here for awhile no matter the circumstances... In my opinion.
