I don't mind all the effects, I just wish there was a clear shot of the whole band that lasted for more than a split second. If you're going to film full-band performance footage for a video, it should play a more significant role.
Yeah I really liked the trippy effects haha... I actually think it's one of LP's best videos to date.
I mean, when Shinoda said this video would be "blurring the line between [the] performance and some kind of digital/mechanical reality", he really wasn't kidding.
Glitch effect took away from it and while I was dubious of the wire pulling, I still wanted to see it. An okay video.
Watch closely during the glitch effects. I think that's the "jerky" motion that Mr. Hahn used and we saw in the preview clips. I swear I see figures being jerked around in those little transitions that resemble the motions in the preview clip. I'm a fan of the video. Extremely well done technically, and an original "performance" clip - those can be tough to find. I want to see it away from MySpace's soul-sucking, bandwidth hogging beast that they call a website. High-def on the LP site would be nice.
I liked that slow-mo shot of Optimus Prime popping a round from his blaster. It also looked like Chester was trying to emulate Chris Martin or something.
Well, I'm personally a fan of the clip. But I guess it's because I really loved the same effect used in "Welcome to Heartbreak" by Kanye West. From a technical aspect, I love it a lot. Mr. Hahn did a great job, although I was a bit bummed out there wasn't any clear sight of them using the guns. As for the band being jerked around by the strings, I figured that it'd either be in the breakdown or they'd slow down the footage for transition, which appears to be the case. Anyways, I'm dying to see an HD version at this point. Hopefully I'm not going crazy, but there was a lot of Megan Fox in it too. But that part where they made her sort of lip sync with the song - that was cool.
i liked the effects, and the idea and style of the clip fit the movie theme 100%, specialy when moving from the video clip to the movie, its a great work by Mr Hahn. I can feel the using of Adobe After Effect, specialy the plug-in TRIPCODE, AMAZING !!!! i think if you keep watchin the video for a couple of times, you'll love it. try to feel the art !!
I loved the video minus the glitch-effect. That ruined the, otherwise, badass slow mo effects towards the end. Overall very good video. Can't wait to see it in HD!
Joe needs to stop using the (great) ideas he has abusively in every clip (as in BIO). I already had enough at the first chorus.
To me it's way to much special effects all over it. The effects blur into the mix really good and sometimes not at all. Would have loved more shots without the glitch effects and more on the band, but still a okey music video!
i think it there were too many special effects, it's a bit hard to keep track of what is going on in the clip also i think chester should change his haircut^^ his current one is getting boring *hope for crawling clip hars* ^^
Some of it looks pretty cool, some of it looks like something an amateur could have put together in a few minutes on Windows Movie Maker. The parts where Chester has blood on his face (at least I'm presuming that's Chester, and that it's blood) remind me of Tobias from Arrested Development when he gets hair plugs.
Yup, same here. Joe must have had too many computer problems so he decided to incorporate his frustration into this video. I had no idea who was who for most of the video.
Myspace videos do not load for me Anybody have an alternate link? I can't find it on Youtube... I need to see it
