LOS ANGELES – Media giant Viacom Inc. said its Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and 16 other channels will go dark on Time Warner Cable Inc. at 12:01 a.m. Thursday if a new carriage fee deal is not agreed upon by then. The impasse over carriage fee hikes would mean "SpongeBob" and other shows like "The Daily Show" will be cut off to 13 million subscribers, said spokesman Alex Dudley, a vice president at Time Warner Cable, the nation's second-largest cable operator. Ugh, I have Time Warner. I'd be more upset if I were a frequent viewer of any of those channels. It still doesn't make this entire thing any less stupid, though. I DON'T GOT ENUFF MONIES! BAWWWWWWW!!! Eh.
I have Comcast but they have been showing a warning all day on Nickelodeon about it, so I dont know if I will be losing the channels or not.
It's showing on Comcast but it's only affecting people with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Cable. I don't know what I would do without Spongebob, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, lol. The rest of the channels/shows I could live without.
Well. I don't own any cable or satellite. Nor do I have a DTV or DTV converter box. So, this really doesn't much bother me. Since Feb 17 I'll be off of TV for good. But it does suck for those who have Time Warner.
Nope. As far as I know they are two separate entities. I'm sure a deal will be reached. If they see a lot of people calling up and complaining, something will have to give.
