So, I'm not sure if this'll work, but I'll give it a try. Post a link and explain why it's important or useful. We'll see ------- http://www.urbandictionary.com/ Great website for finding out the definitions of words or commonly used acronyms. Some examples (although these are tame, but they also cover other areas too....) For instance, LMAO Or if you did not know what "fo sho" or "coo" meant
Nice idea Grego. And nice suggestion as well. I've been using urban dictionary for years and it's proven quite useful. ----------- http://www.studyspanish.com/ The best site on the internet if you want to study Spanish on your own. Explanations are easy for everyone to understand, and there are also a lot of exercises for practice. You can find everything from pronunciation and grammar to vocabulary and idioms. Pretty useful if you need it. It helped me pass my Spanish exam
As long as links remain safe and on topic, this thread may remain open. I'm sure everyone here understands what can and cannot be linked, so I'll trust no one will abuse this thread, right?
www.facebook.com Birthday saver and gets me in contacts with friends in England if I am going over this year.
http://www.resellerratings.com/ As shopping becomes more abundant online, we all need places to check the validity of these online shopping sources. This site is a good place for finding out that info. There are other sites that have reviews to stores, but this one is fairly well known so people go here to rate stores. However, if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is, but this site will help you.
www.overstock.com There's some really good deals to be found on that site. I got all three of the collector box sets of LOTR a few years ago for a grand total of 70.00, when they were 60.00 each at Walmart in my town, i saved over 100.00 on them.
www.ultimate-guitar.com Best site for Guitar tabs and some cool Guitar/Musician related news. You can browse from Bass, Guitar, Chord, Guitar Pro, and Power Tab forms of tabs.
Unfortunately, now it only works for US residents. --------- http://www.uhs-hints.com/ Not your ordinary video game walkthrough. Gives you hints rather than just telling you what to do.
Youtube A public and private video network where you can browse, upload and view videos that others or yourself have made or uploaded.
I don't want to knock any site anyone's posted already (because I've used most of them in the past week, actually), but I think we should stick to sites not everyone's going to know about. Everyone knows about YouTube or Facebook, so putting them in this thread seems silly. That's just my opinion, though. And since I don't have any sites to add (since I was going to say Twitter), I guess this is sort of a pointless post.
(First read your quote, and then just know I'm joking ) Now, understand that if you EVER try to out-smart me, just know I'm always a step ahead of you! Do you really have a Twitter? Must share!
I was thinking that also, but I posted Youtube then laughed at myself. Hmm, what other sites are there I could post... None come to mind at the moment.
Either you're doing it to piss him off or you can't read. I think it's the first one, and here's some advice - don't. You realize you're alienating basically everyone on here, right? LETS GET THE THREAD BACK ON TOPIC!... Babelfish Have you ever needed to translate something so someone else who speaks another language can understand you?
Don't forget the forums www.progarchives.com - very helpful for prog fans like me, but i guess not for everyone. and the greatest website ever... WIKIPEDIA Actually i love it, i really do. EDIT: 4chan.org is pretty damn useful aswell... EDIT 2: i see someone said wikipedia before me, yet for some reason that person P) is bagging the most lifesaving website ever. I wouldn't have completed any of my school assignments without it haha.
