Linkin Park has just announced on their social channels that their a new song called 'Unshatter', from the 'From Zero Deluxe Edition' will be released on Friday, April 25th. This makes it the second song from the deluxe edition of the album to be released after 'Up from the Bottom' came out with the announcement of the album on March 28th. Friday, April 25 is the day before the bands next leg of shows begins, so it's likely that both 'Unshatter' and 'Up from the Bottom' will have their live debuts the day after. Are you looking forward to the song? Will 'Let You Fade' also be released before the deluxe edition comes out? Will the new songs debut live on Saturday? Come and discuss in our forums. It's always a good day when Linkin Park announces new music. I'm curious to see how the setlists of this upcoming leg of the tour will look like. Also...
This is one of the earliest songs they worked on with Emily, so I guess I'm curious to hear how different it might be to what ended up on From Zero. On the other hand, there are only 3 new songs, and this will mean 2 out of those 3 will be out there. I can't help but feel they could've kept the UFTB promo going a little longer
Looking forward, especially to the bridge section (in reference to what was said earlier about the song).
Excited to hear this one! Especially since it's been in the works for so long. The fact that there's a "punkier" version already has me wondering if this is going to be an aggressive song. They've been slow-cooking this one.
Those timelines are interesting, and slowly but surely, with the help of the LPTV's, we're getting a more accurate overview. November 2020 Early work on Good Things Go (as seen on Mike's screen screenshot during Twitch Stream) December 2022 Early work on Cut the Bridge (Currently, first seen appearance of Dave and Joe) June 2023 Work on Cut The Bridge (Currently, first seen appearance of Colin) September 2023 Tease of Already Over October 2023 Release of Already Over December 2023 Work on Unshatter January 2024 Work on Unshatter Work on The Emptiness Machine (Currently, first seen appearance of Emily) February 2024 Work on Cut The Bridge April 2024 Work on The Emptiness Machine (Currently, first seen appearance of Brad) Meanwhile, Mike being totally unsuspicious in an interview of November 2023 (https://www.kerrang.com/mike-shinod...linkin-park-metal-hip-hop-nostalgia-interview) Not sure we'll get a full-on making of to glue all the pieces together, but if they keep the 4 min format for each song, we'll have about 40 min of studio content. If not more if they also do it for the deluxe songs. We should get a a pretty damn good documentation of the From Zero cycle over time.
I guess I'll double-post because, well, song is out here First opinion : this is by far the most Dead Sara sounding chorus I've heard from LP, and it's not even close. Feels this one will need to grown on me a little. That said, fun groovy verses and nasty bridge!
Yeah, this is great. As Qwerty19 mentioned, it sounds more Dead Sara in the chorus and that's exciting. We love when LP does something different, so I'm glad we're getting this after FZ came out to reassure us they CAN still sound like LP.
