THE BRACKET As I said in the previous thread, I'm going to be grouping these 2 at a time now so that this goes by a bit faster. Weeks 2 and 3 are going up this week and voting will be done in 1 week. Here's the second competition in the series. Choose carefully. Please note that Howard Jones has only officially done 3 songs with Killswitch Engage: "My Last Serenade," "Fixation On The Darkness" and "When Darkness Falls." You'll have to check out those 3 songs to find out how he sounds. KsE's next album will come out probably next summer, and will feature him on all vocals. A few As I Lay Dying songs to check out are "Falling Upon Deaf Ears," "Forever" and "The Beginning." Vote away!
Haven't heard much killswitch, though I liked their vocalist. I've never heard the other band though, I'll come back after i've downloaded stuff! EDIT: I am going with Howard from Killswitch Engage. An aggressive and powerful voice, who (I believe) mixes some clean vocals in there too. Impressive! As for AILD, they are a decent metalcore band too, but over both of these bands I would have to recommend MESHUGGAH, an amazing Swedish 'Metalcore' band. They are very similar to Killswitch, the same kinda singer too, except they use polyrhythms, have some pretty cool solo work and the music is written in crazy time sigs too so its fun to listen to and bang your head to: if you can!
Did you download the songs I told you to? If not, you might've ended up with their old lead singer who quit last summer.
