Album Title and Release Date Confirmed I actually can't wait for this. The fact that they've brought some screaming back is fucking excellent and I'd love to hear what it sounds like to Crusade style guitar riffs. This should be pretty epic.
Hell yeah, Ascendancy is one of my all time favs, I liked a few on crusade, but it wasn't nearly as great of an album. I'm hoping Heafy does the screaming, he has one of the best screaming voices. If all the screaming is done by Corey, I don't think it will be as good.
FUCK YES. This officially raises my hopes for this album and actually makes me look forward to new Trivium
I don't think there's going to be a middle ground with this album. It's either going to be the greatest thing since their first album or it's going to be the worst thing since their second album. Let's hope for the first one.
By first do you mean Ember to Inferno (first proper album) or Ascendancy (first major label)? I hate to sound like an ass, but I far prefer the latter, and from what I've gathered talking to you, as do you.
I forgot all about Ember to Inferno. I only like two songs off it so that's why I never really remember it. But I meant Ascendancy as their first and The Crusade as their second. Ember to Inferno never existed!
To be honest I'd rather that The Crusade never existed. I thought Ember To Inferno was pretty good. Most people here probably know that I consider Ascendancy to be one of the greatest albums ever made.
I have to agree, but I'm still not too excited. I despised The Crusade, and love Ember To Inferno and Ascendancy, so I'm a little concerned. Plus, I don't like the title at all, seems cheesy to me. Meh, prove me wrong Trivium.

Wow the band's really embracing Japanese this time around, aren't they? Possibly Heafy's influence? I hope this album delivers. *crosses fingers*
From the looks of the song titles, this is going to be a concept album based on Greek/Roman mythology.
Largely, I'd have to say I agree with you. I'd just find it strange if they did that on an album whose title is "Shogun" with Kirisute Gomen as an opening track.
Hey guys, long time fan of the site, i saw the Trivium shogun topic and thought i would jump in.. Every song on shogun has screaming. the track Shogun is 13 min. long. in about 2 weeks trivium will put a song up on there fan club and myspace called Kirisute Gomen. the first single/video will hit in about aug. there is 3 b-sides to the album one of the b-sides, matt does nothing but death metal vocals. take care guys
