I'm very interested to see how the album's tone changes from start to mid-way to the finish. It's very sad a new Mike Shinoda album is being released due to the circumstances we all wish never happened but still, I'm intrigued to hear how this sounds and I am looking forward to this album release. It will be therapeutic to help all of us that still dwell on the loss of Chester and I have a great admiration for Mike for doing this not only for himself but for the fans and the LP family. Also excited to hear the collaborations.
I have no idea who K.Flay r grandson (what kinda fucking artist name is that ffs) but I'm still stoked for the rest. Also if Razors Out is any indication I'm truly fucking excited for his collab with Chino.,
I have a feeling that Track 12, "Lift Off", will be the one song that will give me carpal tunnel from pressing Repeat over and over and over again (no pun intended). Also, 12 is my lucky number.
I seriously love MGK'S album ''Bloom''. I've had it on repeat for a while. I don't understand the hate for him. I think he's really underrated. maybe it's some of his lyrics? That dude has an awesome sounding voice and flow, and great production. I'm stoked for a collab with Mike. Anyways, I'm Gunna try and hold off from listening to anymore of the record till I get that physical copy with my signed print. It will feel and sound more special that way.
From the titles Running From My Shadow, Promises I Can't Keep and I.O.U, I feel like those songs will be my repeat smashers(although the whole album will be the ult repeat button smasher)
I'm just confused why Mike is still promoting this album through alternative radio? None of them are rock, indie pop, pop rock or even alternative, and it's more pop, r&b and rap focused. I understand it's appealing more to the existing LP fans, but I felt this was a missed opportunity to cater to a larger audience outside LP's fanbase, especially with the personal matter appealing to so many beyond the rock fanbase.
Shinoda's sick of alternative radio playing "alternative" songs. He wants that real rock music like what he grew up with.
Hell yeah who needs the metal riffs and drum solos in rock festivals when you big bass drops and trap beats
It's because he's more well-known in the alternative music scene. And at the end of the day, the label's decision on how to promote the album.
Really Looking forward to this whole album! Wish I had the money rn to pre order! I guess I’ll just buy it when it drops. Been listening to FM a lot lately as well as the 6 released tracks! So hyped. (If it helps I’ve been messing around with GB on my iPhone lately as well as recording guitar tracks into it. Trying to create something of my own using LP and FM as inspirations.)
