Maybe I'm wrong but this is a Linkin Park forum and I'm sure some people wouldn't like your mockery of the band. I'm simply stating that posts like that could eventually piss someone off on these boards. Hate the band or not, you're on a forum DEDICATED to them so that kind of brings some issues into mind.

Yah if thats the case then you have issues.

As for Linkinpark#1fan, I mean honestly the only reason you hate this cd is because you have a problem with jay-z. I mean he is one of the biggest influences of Mike's and Brad's and obviously they are very honored to do this project with him. So yah basically like others said, if you don't like it don't buy it. But please don't bitch about jay-z and his "crappy" lyrics compared to LP's "amazong" lyrics.

how could you even say that! Linkin Park's all about collaboration. Just Like Project Revolution. To open people's mind to everything. Real LP fan's already know that. This Cd will be bad A$$. I can't wait!

    well said my friend!

i honestly cant wait for this cd/dvd combo to come out, to me its sounds new and exciting! imo this is what LP needed to do, its kinda like a between albums project (like reanimation, even though reanimation was a new album in its self)

    roll on the 29th!

[/QUOTE]This Linkin Park/Jay-Z album is the biggest disappointment i have ever felt towards the greatest rock band in history and it hurts to see that they would stoop to such a low level and throw away meaningful lyrics and combine them with frickin " J to the izzo"

I am very very very disappointed

Thats how i felt at first but if u hear the samples they r pretty good not meaningful just fun.

You fail to realize that this is what Linkin Park is all about. The Fusion of different genres.

And if you've ever listened to a Jay-Z song, you would see that his lyrics are just as "meaningful" and in some cases, surpass the "meaningful"ness of an LP song.

    Open Your Mind.

    I agree with you.

Some (many?) dont realise what Jay-Z is all about. All the singles that hes put out dont have that much of a meaning, meaning its just a bunch of endless radio fodder. In most cases the singles are catchy and intended to sound as mainstream as possible, because "mainstream" music often sells. Take for example the hit single "H to the Izzo" lol. Like thats gonna have much of a meaning to the general pop crowd.....but theyl like it because its catchy and its "fun" to listen to.

This is why most people judge Jay-Z on what they hear on MTV and on the radio. But if you actually went out and bought the album you'l realise theres a lot more to jay than what you initially hear on radio/tv. And at times hes rhymes can be complex enough to fool anyone as to the real meaning of the song.

Well yeah, but the thing is, even though Jay does have some deep songs, whats wrong with the ones that arnt? Does every song you listen to have to be deep, dark, pieces or art? Not to me, on ocation i just want something light, something fun, something to just "Bang ya to it!" Without thinking about the hiden meanings.

Well, congrats on figuring out that this is a Linkin Park forum. ;) All joking aside, the Jessica SImpson comment is a metaphor to how lame the lyrics are to the bands songs. Secondly, it's their fault if they take my opinion personally.

Ryan, we need to get something straight here. I mock bands, even bands that I like. In the case of Linkin Park, it would be their lyrics.

Well alright then. It's just when you're urging people to stay away from Linkin Park, it's kind of suggesting you dont like them at all and think they suck. At least that's how some people view it.

Well, I wouldn't say that I'm urging people to stay away from Linkin Park, but I would say that I'm a little outspoken in my dissatisfaction. But yeah, I see your point in how someone might get the wrong idea on what I'm saying. It's inevitable, really.

I'm not trying to rude at all, but Cameron, have you ever liked LP? Don't take it the wrong way, I'm just asking.

As for LP's lyrics being "meaningful", well I'd somewhat agree with you if they were mixing HT lyrics with Jay-Z's, but c'mon, Meteora's lyrics aren't great. I don't have a problem with it.

Well, not to be rude or anything, but have you ever read the whole thread? Your answer lies within there.

Oh no i totally understand. I was kinda also being a smartass with my comment. I mean you have LP in your sig for bands to stay away from, so i know you were making some sort of sarcastic comment. Anyhow I just really hate Jessica Simpson, you could ahve used any other pop singer and i probably wouldn't ahve amde that comment.
