Basically Teppei, Riley, Eddie, and Dustin have created a masterpiece and now we are just awaiting on a release date and a label announcement (Equal Vision I'm guessing), but to help with the wait we've been having to wait through since the announcement of the project back around September/October 2006, Riley has helped by posting their Air Sonnet... http://www.alchemyindex.com/
sounds beautiful. this is part of the 4-disk set they had planned, right? that's like 48 (given that each CD has 12 songs) new Thrice songs which is an amazing thought.
Equal Vision is slightly interested. Keyword, slightly. I'll let you guys know what's going on. It's gonna be a lot of money to put out a four disc set though. A LOT of money.
The new album will be released in two parts through Vagrant Records. The Alchemy Index: Vols. I & II - Fire & Water will be released on October 16th, 2007. The second part, The Alchemy Index: Vols. III & IV - Earth & Air, will be released in Spring of 2008 http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=258263
Thrice will release The Alchemy Index: Volumes 1 and 2 via Vagrant Records on October 16th. Source: absolutepunk.net Teaser Video
This is going to be effing godly. I'm slightly disappointed that it's going to be released in 2 parts, but I know I'll love it. Not to mention Coheed coming a week later. The next couple months are going to be amazing for music.
Funny you mention Coheed there, as the first time I saw either of those bands live it was on their Co-Headlining tour. Dunno how that's relevant, but thought I'd just mention it. Anyway, I can't wait for this, Thrice have done nothing but amaze me since I first heard them!
Bumping this thread so I can brag a little. Gonna pop this sucker in a CD player with good headphones, I'm scared and excited at the same time. Tell ya'll how it is.
GWAH?! I'm assuming there will be an update to the Album Leak Reporting Thread within the next few hours.
Hahaha, I'm not a douche, I'm gonna keep you assholes waiting Really, I'm not leaking my copy cause if people catch on, I won't get any advances. Hell, I don't even listen to the cd's on my computer, just pop it in on a cd player with excellent sony headphones. I really wanted to do that with this record too. But a lot of people got them, so there should be a leak eventually. But I will tell you all how it is, listening to it right f-ing now.
The amazing thing is how much I don't believe you. I don't believe you actually have an advance, nor do I trust half the information you post about bands sometimes. How can you be in the know, and have all these contacts when you don't work for a punk site and are younger than I am? I won't believe this unless you either upload a song we haven't heard before, or post a picture of you actually holding the CD with a paper saying www.lpassociation.com taped to it. Don't mean to be a douche, I just really don't think you have this CD. I'm eager to be proved wrong so I can act all jealous.
It is the same pic as the one that has been posted on absolute punk by one of the higher ups on there (jason tate) http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=260746 He is a reliable source as he gets many cd advances. He's also posted a mini track by track review for any one who is interesed. http://www.absolutepunk.net/journal.php?do=showentry&e=19038
And I don't think Sex Raptor's name is Jason Tate so....I think we can conclude that some non-truths are being blurted in this thread.
Can I call this a burn, Franny or am I using it wrong again? No offence, but you've been doing this way too much, pretending you know bands, and it's good to see you finally got what was coming.
