http://www.hyfncards.com/splash.php?pid=11 You have to register to hear clips of 4 songs apparently. They give you one "card" for free... I still don't completely get it, but whatever. The one song (not "Animal I Have Become") didn't overly impress me.
Did you get "Over and Over"? Nothing spectacular. Kinda catchy, though. Edit: To get all four cards, you need to click "flip card" on the first card then "coollect all cards" and enter an e-mail address for whoever you want to send it to. That unlocks the next card, and so on. You can use any e-mail you want, even make up email accounts and put them in. "It's All Over", "Never Too Late", and "Pain" are catchy too. I'm guessing this album is going to be incredibly radio-friendly. They are songs that will get old quickly, though, from what I think. "Animal I Have Become" acoustic is noteworthy. That's the downloadable mp3 after you "collect" all four cards. I used to have high expectations for this album, but when I go back and listen to their debut album (which I loved back in 2003), I find myself liking it less and less. Boring in parts, cliché in others, and not much that really catches my intrigue. There's a few good songs, but the album as a whole isn't as good as I previously thought. I'm waiting for 'One-X' with an open mind, though. Hopefully it surprises me.
After writing in fake email adresses and hearing the snippets of the songs i was left thinking that this album may not live up to my expecations. I thought their first effort was wonderful but these new snippets dont sound as good lets hope the full songs and other recorded songs on the album.
I still don't really like what I'm hearing... it's alright, and I like the move, but it all just sounds so bland.
sounds great to me, still can't wait for this album you guys crack me up, most of you jumping the gun on a 1 minute, max, audio snippet. this album's gonna be great
