What does everyone think of burning in the skies?
When I first heard it it was very meh for me, I thought it was some sort of red herring to surprise us with some epic dubstep or something
But recently it's really grown on me and its one of my favourite LP tracks, I love the way its almost their softest ballad while also having all the elements of a harder rock song. Really unique song.

Although it feels strange for the album to start with such a "soft" song after Given Up and Papercut, but I find myself humming the song a lot more lately. It's a great rock ballad.

I've been listening to it a lot lately. It might just be my favorite Linkin Park song.

Great song. Love how it begins with the heartbeat, and specially when the drums and guitars kick in- that part blows me!
The piano feels heavy and it is just what makes the song have a huge sonic landscape.

I really like this song, especially the guitar solo part. Great lyrics too imo :)

I love how strong Mike's singing vocals have got in the song.

BITS definitely delivers with strong lyrics that inspire visuals that fit well into the context of the album. The songs progression from a slow, moving introduction start picks up to an excellent and textual guitar solo. Throughout the chorus I imagine Chester singing on his knees, inhaling clouds of smoke , and he's surrounded by bridges on fire that are caving in to the flooded ground below. BITS is a hard, left turn from the band that no one saw coming. Although it does contain some conventional elements; it still is an innovative composition from LP.

This one has grown on me a lot. It's probably my third-favorite on the album now (still topped by WFTE and Iridescent IMO).

Incredible track. It's basically Shadow of the Day amped up to a whole new level (and SOTD is a great song). Mike's singing voice is god here and I love the lyrics.

It's definitely not a ballad; this is a true blue rock song. I'm glad that LP wrote it, because it proves that a song can be rock (and not a ballad, of course) without being heavy.

It's a great song. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it as the album opener, but I got used to it and I like how The Requiem+The Radiance+BITS are connected. Mike vocals are great on this one, and of course Chester does an amazing job.

    :awesome:

^My reaction to BITS. I was even blown away by the chorus-guitarsolo-chorus connection. I can definitely imagine the band performing in the woods in a ring of fire with nearby bridges on fire too. And Brad's part being put in heavy retrospective.
