Um just cause I like the song doesn't mean I'm tunnel visioned. I'm allowed to have my own opinion on the song, and you are too. I think the lyrics are great, you think they're terrible, that means we have different opinions, not that I'm tunnel visioned.
Am I wrong for liking this album? Haha I fucking love over the top music. Part of the reason Muse is my second favorite band. This album is basically another TIW but with more electronic stuff going on. Don't see what's wrong with that. That said, most of the lyrics do suck but whatever. It's hard to write good lyrics. A lot of LP lyrics suck.
Enough with the hashtags people. More constructive discussion, please. LLFD isn't that bad. It doesn't measure up to my standards for 30STM and I do roll my eyes at some parts, but overall it's a solid album in my opinion.
That wasn't what I meant. I respect his opinion but he wasn't respecting other, until his last post. That's what I meant by 'Tunnel Visioned'. Not that his opinion was wrong or that we shouldn't accept it. I'll listen to the album in good quality and on my good speakers like, tomorrow or something. I'll post a proper review, but with the songs i've heard it sounds like there's.... something missing.
I'm liking this album. As soon as you can get past the preachy interpretation and you find yourself a very strong album. You can take the lyrics however you like, that's my opinion. But the instrumentals are absolutely beautiful and catchy.
Yeah I love the instrumentals. I hope Linkin Park can incorporate dustep-ish elements in their next album like Thirty Seconds to Mars. But hey, you never know what will come for the next album.
minuteforce, Andreina, Mark, Hawk and Zane are viewing this thread. My god it's like a mini-rainbow down there!
And we're back here again! Shinoda has said once or twice that he doesn't wish for LP to ride any EDM waves, at least not on their studio albums.
Thought it was rubbish, repetitive and bland. http://spydistrict.com/2013/05/love-lust-faith-and-dreams-by-30-seconds-to-mars/
After waiting for today when my CD was supposed to come in the mail, I was super excited to finally listen to Love Lust Faith and Dreams for the first time and was disappointed when nothing was in the mail... So being fed up with USPS and "The Hive" I listened through Spotify. Musically the album is innovative and original, yet comparable to the sound of This Is War. However, the album felt a lot more natural as opposed to TIW's overproduced sound. The group vocals were toned down to acceptable and almost enjoyable at times. Again, much better than This Is War. Lyrics were average and sometimes repetitive but overall not awful. The darker/electronic tones of the album worked very well in my opinion and added to the originality. Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams is a pretty great album. Better than This Is War by far, but no where close to A Beautiful Lie or self titled.
Enough with the hashtags foolishness. It brings NOTHING constructive to the conversation. I'm going to flip out at the next person who does one. Strike #2.
