The "Yeah, I`ve received my copy" thread!

So, Ladies and Gentleman.

This Thread is dedicated to those fortunate enough to have received a copy of Linkin Park`s new Album "The Hunting Party".

I guess I am gonna make a headstart

I just got my via amazon, delivered via DHL.
It is the Special Edition Package with a Live DVD of the Monterey Show, September 12, 2012.



Gonna start my first listen in about 5 Minutes.

The art looks awesome!

So I'm guessing the Standard Edition (I know this is the Monterrey DVD version) does NOT include lyrics in the booklet? So THAT'S why they made emphasis on the lyrics plastic o card thing in the Special Edition.

 

DHL... I fucking hate it!
They told me, I will get my package early today (about 8 or 9)...
Well... 8hours later, it's still not there. This happens to me every fucking time with DHL! Do they really think, I've got nothing better to do, than sitting at home and waiting for my package?

Sorry guys... but I'm slightly mad.

Not sure if he posted that thinking I asked for it and then the pics were "already" posted, hey whatever. When I asked there was nothing posted. Oh well.

The album looks cool, I just feel a bit cheapened. I wished we would have gotten a digipack and a better DVD. They said everything was recorded and filmed and we haven't gotten anything, unless they plan to release it later, which I hope so. I also hate jewel cases. One slip and drop to a hard surface and FORGET IT. Besides, it's 2014 and the shit is still being packaged as if it's 1999.

Kind of underwhelmed by the art, too. A Thousand Suns was better. But, the music is great so CHOO CHOO.

What's the backside of the album look like?

I'm looking forward to seeing how the "Deluxe" Edition will look like, also.. I just keep going about how perfect a making of DVD package would've been. Ugggghh.

 

me too . i ordered the edition with the t-shirt so i am worried it will be tomorrow. hopefully not saturday ..

 

Fuck, I'll be so pissed if the LP.com edition comes in a standard jewel case, too. Paid double the price I would've at Amazon. Congrats though - looks awesome!

 

I thought, maybe though, we were a little spoiled between the releases of Meteora & A Thousand Suns. Three straight albums with a great packaging. I thought the special edition of Minutes to Midnight was the most unique. It's like a little book, fucking rules.

"Exclusive CD packaging featuring a 36 page art book including exclusive art by James Jean + song lyrics bound by a clear plastic o-card".

I think we have a good chance for a Digipack, look at how this booklet is nowhere near "36 page".. Of course that would be still thin but the "Exclusive CD packaging" makes me hopeful.

It's very strange if the Standard edition does not come with the lyrics...

I don't know what to get anymore. And what I'll be able to get.

 

So you recieved your CD+DVD via amazon today, while I did the same and it says it will arrive next Wednesday... Great!
