Season 5 premiere is easily one of the best TWD episodes so far. Those minutes before the opening credits were just amazing. One of the best things I've ever watched in the TWD. It was a very intense and emotional episode. I wasn't expecting something that good to be honest. Now I just hope they just don't give us a filler episode right after that, but it wouldn't be a surprise. It surely won't be as intense, but a very slow episode would be very frustrating.
I was kinda disappointed by the episode. It felt like filler throughout just to set up what happens next. I love that a lot of comics stuff carried on, but lots of dialogue was unnatural and, well, Bob had lots of things to do here, which means certain death (at least delayed though). I love Andrew J. West as Gareth so far though. Also, if you noticed, the Terminus guy that Tyreese apparently "killed" is among the Hunters. YOU HAD ONE JOB, TYREESE.
Just saw this on the TWD FB post. "We will be joined by a surprise TWD cast member this Sunday." That doesn't look good for Bob. If he is offed next week, I just hope Lawrence Gilliard gets inserted in the opening sequence a la Buffy's Tara instead of getting stuck in the also starring section (he's a regular btw, just didn't make the cut for the opening sequence). Also I completely missed this one: Gareth back in season 4: Chris, leader of the cannibalistic Hunters, in the comics:
This episode was amazing. Not as great as the premiere, but brutal nonetheless. Still, it's awfully generous of them to promote Andrew J. West (Gareth) as a series regular even though he'd only show up for three episodes.
Surprisingly consistent season thus far. Very surprised they killed off Gareth so quickly, I thought he was going to stick around for a while like The Governor. I'm glad it happened, though. Makes this season feel very fresh.
Fucking stellar episode. This season has been great. "This is the Lord's house." –"No. It's just four walls and a roof." Apparently Beth's gone nuts or something?
I liked the episode. It was pretty tense for me, and made me like Beth a lot more. I bet Noah's the guy with Daryl. Carol though... I really hope they don't stretch it out that much. It seems that they're following Abraham's group next week.
Solid episode. Hope Carol comes out fine. I'm just waiting for the episode where Rick busts in to fuck shit up.
Holy crap, I just realized Noah is the dude from Everybody Hates Chris. I was also surprised to see Keisha Castle-Hughes from Whale Rider there (It's been a while haha). I'm getting creepy elements from different storylines - Dawn (the bitch officer) reminds me of Carver of the Walking Dead Season 2 video game, Noah kinda reminds me of Heath and the doctor is like the comics version of Dr. Stevens (the Woodbury doctor). If they're mining the prison stuff from the comics that they left out, then I'm all for it.
Is it just me or is Noah a betraying douche? No. At that point in the post, I was no longer talking about Maggie's quote.
