The Used will be digitally releasing a new EP entitled Shallow Believer on February 19th.

A lot of the tracks are already available one way or another but "Into My Web", "Sun Comes Up", and "Sick Hearts" are brand new tracks.

Yeah this should be cool. Lies for the Liars was a brilliant album.

 

I'll check it out... but wasn't this supposed to come out before the end of last year? Why the delay?

 

They kept changing their minds with it. They knew they wanted to get out the material but they didn't know how they could do it. At one point they were going to release the music alongside a book in December.

 

Do those who have heard the tracks know if it's more punky or more lies for the liars style?

 

Choke Me is a secret track from their self-titled album. Back Of Your Mouth is a bonus track from In Love and Death (The japanese version). 5 of the other tracks are b-sides from Lies for the Liars. 3 of them havent been released in any form yet.

 

That tracklist will do wonders for stereotypes within the so called "emo" genre.

 

I'm pretty sure they're not going to be able to get away with calling this an EP unless the songs are really short.

That's all I was commenting on. Nothing more, nothing less. I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of it. It was just a one-off comment, that's all.

 

I don't really mind, I just glanced at it and thought "Huh, that's a pretty long EP". That's all. Sorry if it seemed like I was trying to be confrontational or anything like that.

 

I was going to ask Will why he thinks an EP has to have short songs, but I didn't know if it would "Start A War"...

Because an EP is usually either around 20-30 minutes or around five tracks.
