The Simpsons enterprise just hit rock bottom. This is a huge sell-out move. When you have something this big and you try to make a movie, bad things happen. Besides, after all that has happened on the Simpsons, they could not possibly write a movie that would be entertaining for every Simpsons fan. At least this is what has happened in the past with other empires. I may be wrong, but I think for the most part, making a movie is a bad move for Matt Groening.
Yes! The old writers! The new writers have been a total letdown over the past 4-5 seasons. I still watch the show, but only in vain hope that it'll actually be good this week. I wanted the old writing staff back. The first 9 seasons were incredible. It's good to see they're going back to the old staff, should be great!

YES its been 11 seasons ( hasnt it been 14?) and they want to make a stupid sell out movie but dont you think the next step for the simpsons is for them to age I think I would like to see marge and homer age a little and bart and lisa as teenagers and maggi in school.
Too bad this movie didn't come at the peak of The Simpsons popularity. Maybe then it would have made some money. This movie will bomb at the box-office, and I don't mean just a little. It'll bomb, Gigli-style.

I hope it's not like one of those Nickelodeon movies where they copy of the TV show and have an EXTREMLY sucky plot. If so, I'm definently not gonna see it. Most movies that were based off of a TV show suck really bad in theaters. It's a huge let down esspecially...

i think its cool that they might make a movie and i would go and see it but i think it wont turn out great. it will just be like a long episode and the episodes are currently not as good as they used to be. last week i saw the one where home reunites with his mother again and i was dissapointed so a movie with the same writers mite be a let down
