Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson in the long-running animated sitcom "The Simpsons," informed the media that herself and the other actors who lend their voices to the show, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Yeardley Smith, Harry Shearer, and Hank Azaria, have already rehearsed the dialogue for the movie. "You know what? We've just done the table read for the 'Simpsons' movie so although we've been promoting that we're going to do it, now we're actually doing it and are in production," says Cartwright. It might take 2 years until the movie is actually released. "I don't know the name of it and I can't go into details about it and we'll just have to see how it goes, but I think it's going to be great and the fans are going to dig it."
I've honestly tried to like the Simpsons, but I just can't. Its not entertaining. But I guess that it will make some money since it has such a huge fan base.
The Simpsons is a brilliant show and still is. Yes, the last few seasons have been lacking, but overall, it's been great. I can't wait for the movie and hope it doesn't continue to lack like the past few seasons, but i personally don't think it will. I reckon the team will put a lot more effort into the movie than the actual show, as it has to be bigger & better than anything they have done before. I can't wait.
Well I remember a while ago my brother told me that when they made a Simpsons movie, the show was over. That's what he said they were going to do. Either do one more season or a movie, not quite sure though.
There are a a couple of different outcomes that could come out from this movie. 1. The movie is a huge success and the series is still broadcasted on television. 2. The movie is a huge success but the series ends. 3. The movie fails to please but the series is still broadcasted. 4. The movie fails and the series ends. I think the movie will do well only because it has a large fan base. Of course, who knows how good the movie will actually be. The Simpsons series has been successful thus far and hopefully the cast will put a whole lot more effort into this movie than what they have put into the recent seasons. Hopefully, after the movie is released, the series will continue to be broadcasted and hopefully please the fans. As for me? I think the The Simpsons is a great show, without a doubt. The most recent seasons haven't been as well-made and not as hilarious as the previous seasons, but hopefully it will improve. I have loved this show ever since I learned what it was. I doubt it will fail the fans.
The Simpsons should've either gotten new writers or been cancelled about 6 seasons ago. That would've salvaged what has become a growing disappointment with each episode. The typical modern-day Simpsons episode lacks what past episodes used to have. Clever dialogue, fun episodes, and ironic hilariity. Not the overly blatant saw-it-from-a-mile-away corny jokes, something unexpected and therefore rememberable. One of two things have happened to the Simpsons; either their fanbase has grown out of it (doubtful; because I, along with many other fans, still enjoy the old episodes), or they've dumbed it down for a younger audience. Make something racy, controversial, and stop ripping off Family Guy storylines!
I agree with everything you have just said, but atleast with the series still ongoing we have hope that it may get better. Also, bringing Family Guy into this, Family Guy is still in series four, there's plenty of time for that to go downhill too. I mean just look how great The Simpsons was in season four. We'll have to see how great Family Guy is doing when it reaches the same season figures The Simpsons is. Now, i'm a huge fan of Family Guy, so don't think i'm ripping on it, because i'm not. Bottom line; There probably wouldn't have even been a Family Guy if it wasn't for The Simpsons.

Conan O'Brien was somewhat responsible for Family Guy.
Hmmm, as much as i love The Simpsons i think this is either going to be huge or fail miserably. It'll be great as long as it can keep me laughing all the way throughout. They've left it a bit long though haven't they? About 16 years or so? Meh, i'll have to wait and see.
Yeah. Show some love for the now shitty show purely for it's nostalgia factor and how far it pushed the envelope, oh, 10 years ago.
I don't think anyone is really dissing The Simpsons, but I really don't know anybody who thinks it's still that funny. I think everyone knows how influential The Simpsons were, but take a show like Seinfeld. That show was hilarious, and its last season was great. But they went out on top. The Simpsons are way over due.
I fear that the movie might be the nail in the coffin for the Simpsons series similar to how all the Pokemon movies eventually were.
