Basically, this is the first song I've written in a long time but right now I've got a rhythm guitar part sorted for it and I may try and expand that into a full on track. It's very influenced by Say Anything (within the lyrics and the music) but see what you think. Hopefully this will be used in the future for a project that I may or may not be working on Enjoy! "The Only Thing Harder Than Being Together Is Being Alone" It's the 4th of never again, And dream dates are removed like you said, With welcome cards relaying excuses, I destroyed everything we had, And I'm writing songs again, For the first time since we met, So wrapped up in everything, I forgot to write about your smile. And now that you're gone, I forget exactly how you looked, Burned the photographs I found of you, And discarded the ones I'd took. As you've driven off into the sunset, The clouds and planes bow out farewells, And I am dying for you to come back to me. But it's not happening. You came and you left in a flash, And the blinding photograph that followed, Illuminated the past. And as these memories were made, They left as quickly as they came. And now that you're gone, I forget exactly how you looked, Burned the photographs I found of you, And discarded the ones I'd took, And now I'm all alone, I bury myself in TV shows, The lives of others make me worry, A little less about my own. I don't think that I could ever change the way, You looked at me, I don't think that I could ever change the way, That you left me, I don't think that I could ever change the way, You thought of me, But if I ever got just one more chance, I'd turn down your pleas with no respect, I wouldn't let you take it all away. And now that you're gone, I forget exactly how you looked, Burned the photographs I found of you, And discarded the ones I'd took, And now I'm all alone, I bury myself in TV shows, The lives of others make me worry, A little less about my own.
Looks great, Dave "I bury myself in TV shows, The lives of others make me worry, A little less about my own." That's brilliant.
