that's the thing, nu-metal's roots are definitely metal, but the music itself...no.
I dont like mushroomheads old stuff because of the old singer, but I like the new guy a lot. I agree that SOAD's old stuff is way better though.
Has anybody mentioned All That Remains? They are one of my favorite bands right now. If you like As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, definitely check them out. The Deepest Gray, Six, This Calling, Focus Shall Not Fail, This Darkened Heart are all awesome songs. Then again, they are all awesome.
i heard one song by them and you're right. it's a damn shame too.
The whole Fall of Ideals album is completely amazing.
Another band I'm just getting back into latley is Cradle of filth, any of you fans of Dani?
mm dont like Cradle that much
I think it's an aquired thing, it took me three years to not mind his voice becuase of constantly hearing it when I was with my friend Tim. Then I became a big fan, it faded and I stopped listening to them but now I'm back to doing it haha.
I fucking love Cradle. Not too fond of their latest labum Thornography but Nymphetamine has got to be one of the best albums of the 21st century so far for me.
I'm not that keen on Cradle. In my opinion they only gained recognition because of the 'Jesus is a c*nt' shirts and the lull between britpop and indie.
I love cradle just because of the Midian album, that is what got me into them.
Scortched Earth Erotica is my favorite song of all time from them, as for thorography.... Cradle and ville valo should never have been together so I've lost alot of respect for dani.
waking the cadaver. i saw this band with dr. acula (local ny band, check them out), and i thought they sucked. they push br00tality way to much.
but i thought this was hilarious.
Oh, goat fuck how I hate them
And I forgot Deicide and Strapping Young Lad.
Oh, yeah, I just remembered this band when "666" came on my playlist...
I Killed The Prom Queen.
Check 'em out, they're pretty sweet.
Mudvayne rock, though i dont know what genre i'd put them in.
NIN - do you guys consider industrial to be metal?
And Death In My Arms is one of my favourite songs of the 21st Century...
Deicide = the sex.
and I think everyone here knows my views on SYL
i saw them with he is legend and silverstein a few weeks ago. they were pretty good. blew all the bands away that's for sure.
