The Official Lupe Fiasco Thread

I know there are other Lupe threads, but I figured I would make one that we can post all of the news and not just have 9001 threads about every little thing he does


So, now that the iTunes Pass is up for LASERS, have you guys heard Never Forget You with John Legend? I just listened to it and I definitely think it is probably one of the strongest tracks he has done in awhile.

I got the pass. I've had Never Forget You on repeat all day. I love it.

What's that? You want me to rank the 3 released songs so far? Fine.

1. The Show Goes On (sucker for the hook and it gets me pumped up) 9/10
2. Never Forget You (Almost as good as The Show Goes On. More of a chill track but that's not a bad thing) 8.5/10
3. Words I Never Said (Awesome sounding track, but the 9/11 thing still irks me a little. Also this thing about Diet Soda killing brain cells. I mean c'mon now. But Skylar's part is great.) 8/10

Based on these three songs, this album is going to be the best release so far this year.

 

ha, kinda. He was subconsciously banished from my memory after 'Words I Never Said'.

 

Never Forget You, is definitely my favorite of the 3 released songs so far. There's nothing about it that I don't like. I hope it becomes a single, really looking forward to the album, thank god it's finally coming out.

 

Not gonna lie, Never Forget You kinda reminds me of Puff Daddy's song I'll Be Missing You

 

Brooo thats totes young love/high school sweethearts vs. death of a business asset I mean best friend, how do they relate? lolz

 

Not the subjects themselves, just the way they sound.

The Show Goes On is great, Words I Never Said is really good besides you know what, Never Forget You is alright.

 

I'm kinda disappointed with what I've heard so far, guess my expectations were too high..

I didn't listen to alot of F&L but i love The Cool, and I like his guest verses.

 

So he's essentially saying he spent the past couple of years fighting to release an album with only four sincere tracks on the thing? Hah. I'll try to take that with a grain of salt because at this point it's safe to say he probably doesn't always engage his brain before he talks.
