Actually, my mom asked me how to spell "antidisestablishmentarianism," and she said it was the longest word in the English language. I looked it up for her, and proved (by over 1,500 letters) that it's not the longest word.

I'll edit the first topic with some more really long words.

No, it's real. Thursday, my Chemistry teacher was talking about chemical compounds and how long some of the names are, and he said that the name of one chemical is over 1,900 letters long.

    Wow, that's really long!

The longest Czech word is "nejneobhospodařovávatelnějšími" - 30 letters. Or "nejnevykrystalizovávatelnějšími" - 31 letters, but that's not originally Czech. (YOUR COMPUTER MAY NOT DISPLAY SOME LETTERS OF THESE WORDS!)

Czech chemistry names aren't that long, it's said that Czech chemical terminology is the best in the world. For some reason I don't want to believe it (I have C's from Chemistry..)
