Just to tell all of you, you can now pre-order the album on iTunes. It will come with the bonus tracks Tidal Wave, Human remix/video, and Forget What I Said. Also, it will let you download the studio version of Spaceman now.
I just downloaded "Spaceman" and I really love it! I actually favor it over "Human". I love what I am hearing and it's only leaving me wanting more!
It definitely feels liek more of a Killers song than Human and it's growing on me fast. The lyrics are pretty damn awesome too.
In my opinion, Spaceman is about 100x better then Human. Hopefully the rest of the album can be this good.
That's so stupid to move it up only a day, lol. Oh well, at least I can get my hands on "Day and Age" a day earlier and there's nothing wrong with that!
B-Side/Bonus track news: "A Crippling Blow" (B-Side on the "Human" single; bonus track on Day & Age) and "Forget About What I Said" (iTunes pre-order bonus track) have made their way onto the Internet. I have "A Crippling Blow", which is VERY easy to find on the Internet if you search for it. As for the song itself, I'm not really feeling it but perhaps I need to give it a few more listens. I can't find "Forget About What I Said". I think I need to search harder. Edit: Or maybe "Forget About What I Said" isn't available yet due to being a pre-order bonus track. Oops, lol.
I saw the video for 'Human' a couple times on tv, it's okay, it's not as great a single as their previous ones I think.
1 minute clips of each song off of Day & Age can be heard here: http://www.the-killers.de/cover-creator/ (on the left side) !! A couple of these songs are going to take a while for me to get used to ("I Can't Stay", "This Is Your Life") but for the most part I'm satisfied. I favor "Joy Ride" and "The World We Live In" the most.
I genuinely love most the songs already. I think 'Neon Tiger' will take a bit of getting used to but everything else is awesome. First half of the album outclasses the second but overall, it's definitely gonna be on par with the first 2. EDIT: I take that back, Neon Tiger is awesome.
My brother's Killers tickets came in the mail today. I weeped a little, since I want to go but can't. But anyway... Rolling Stone magazine gave the new album 3 1/2 out of 5 stars: http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/thekillers/albums/album/24024293/review/24196095/day__age
Hmm, not as good as score as I expected. Anyway, Rock Band 2 is also getting some Killers songs, Mr. Brightside, Spaceman and All These Things That I've Done. To be honest, this RB pack is way better and probably more fun to play than the GH one.
The album has leaked. I just finished listening to it and it's definitely my second favorite album of the year, right behind Coldplay's "Viva La Vida". Since there are only 10 songs on the actual album (plus 2 bonus tracks depending on where you order it from), I would give it a solid 9/10. I'm not feeling "I Can't Stay" but I know it will grow on me in time. I wish there were more songs on the album because it goes by way too quickly, which sucks. I'll be having it on repeat for a while, lol. Excellent effort by these guys and I'm dying to hear the new songs live. They really need to swing by my area again pronto! lol. Key tracks (imo): "A Dustland Fairytale", "Neon Tiger" & "Goodnight, Travel Well"
