I haven't even listened to the songs yet, but I'm going to judge all of them. 1 - Keys To The Kingdom - Best track on the album. 10/10 2 - All For Nothing (feat. Page Hamilton) Page Hamilton being on this track is cool, but Mike's cheesy rapping will ruin it. 3 - Guilty All The Same (feat. Rakim) Chester's singing on this track sounds like an old dying frog. The drums, guitar, and Rakim are cool though. 7/10 4 - The Summoning - This one sounds pretty cool 8/10 5 - War - Title sounds lazy. Hopefully not another Victimized type song. I'll give it a 5/10 6 - Wastelands - I was told this is a roller-coaster of a song, so I imagine this'll be the track with a lot of variety. Which is cool in my book. 8.5/10 7 - Until It's Gone - Radio Friendly/10 8 - Rebellion (feat. Daron Malakian) This'll be the track that gets the crowd moving. I love SoaD so that's a plus, but I'm worried this track will give me a headache. 8/10 9 - Mark The Graves- Title sounds cheesy. Will probably be cheesy along with an extra cheesy rap verse and chorus. 7/10 10 - Drawbar (feat. Tom Morello) ? 11 - Final Masquerade - Possibly an instrumental, unless Drawbar is an instrumental and interludes into this song. I'm not sure what to think of this. 12 - A Line In The Sand - The closing of the album. Sounds like it could be big. It's ether going to be loud or soft. Maybe another Little Things Give You Away? If so 9/10
A Line In The Sand could very well be The Messenger of this record, the calm after the storm. I don't imagine them ending the album with an angry tune. Also, we already know Until It's Gone is more of a mid-tempo song.
The Summoning is such a hilarious song title for this album that I can't help but be impressed. I'm definitely hyped for that track. War and Wastelands after it will be pretty rad, I bet.
This is completely premature and useless. We're rating songs based on the names? Jesus. The hype is extremely high with this one.
Wait why is everybody kissing ass and acting like we want another instrumental again? How many instrumentals do we have from this band? Like 30+ now? Hopefully there ISN'T one on here.
I don't understand your reasoning for not wanting an instrumental. You don't want one because they don't do them that often? If anything they should do one. Being a more guitar focused effort, and punk/metal influenced instrumental track from them could be very cool.
I'd really like an instrumental track that runs for longer than two minutes. We haven't gotten one of those on a full-length Linkin Park studio release since "Meteora"
I don't think anyone's "kissing ass" here. We're just ASSUMING there will be one because the tendency says so. It's kind of a tradition of the band.
Now all we need are the running time for the songs and also the short previews Half life 3 confirmed!
If you are counting instrumentals based on LPU releases, you are counting them wrong. They are unreleased demos that were never completed enough for a main album. We have Cure For The Itch, Session, Wake and Tinfoil as far as instrumentals go on main albums.
What do you think about "War"? I think it may be the song Warrior which was supposed to be on the album already. Really Great tracklist anyway! Want to preorder now
