what did you rate A Thousand Suns?
Derek, how about mixes? Does GATS/UIG sounds better or it's same? I want to know it, because what we have already is a bit disappointing. Especlliy because of fact that it is "Legendary" Andy Wallce, who is mixing/mastering this album.
I'm not sure that he mixed and mastered, but I digress. Derek said earlier that the album tracks sound a little bit better than what you've already heard
I can also verify this to be accurate. Badly mixed songs sound clearer and tracks that weren't mixed badly to begin with sound awesome.
OK....well my first post for a long time......
I have to say i am so proud about Derek..... i mean the site , all this energy tha he provides and also the love about LP!
(i read this site from 2008.....)
I don't even know personal LP but in my eyes they are brothers .... and i am saying that All 6 guys Created so much good & Unique music .... that i think the new Record will be no exception......
^ Okay. We totally needed to read that in bold, bigger sized font.
Agreed. Made such a statement!
It will be interesting to see how some of the more complex guitar playing/solos translate into a live setting, as so far GATS has seemed a bit hit and miss if truth be told.
I'll be particularly interested to hear War and Rebellion live, firstly to hear whether Brad can pull off what Derek described as an astonishing and revelatory solo live, and whether Daron Malakian's signature sound can be replicated as it's unlikely he'll perform it with them too often, if ever.
Derek, you should try writing out the lyrics for the album, so when it leaks, the LPA has it first.
so this is the first time mike will have an main vocal role in an album closer?
I thought they were ALTNC and Not alone ._.
Good, because it sounded like shit
The lyrics we saw at the trailer, which song is it?
Good question tell us Derekk
Can Summoning be separated from War and Drawbar from Mark The Graves? If not, we'll recive 10 tracks, 45mins, which is actually very good result. It's like they had to stay on 12-track album formula.
For some reason I have a feeling like it's war. But I'm not sure. I'd still like Derek to confirm which song.
Great job on those descriptions Derek!
Guys can I buy 4 tickets for the hype train? I'm jumping in alone, but the hype is so great that I need 4 seats for me
It's a bit disappointing that you weren't fond of Drawbar. I was really hoping this would be a standout moment on the album, especially with Tom Morello. Can you say it functions as a "calm before the storm" to prepare us for the seeming insanity of the last two tracks?
Anyway, this was a great review/impression that definitely succeeded in elevating my hype levels. I will remain cautiously optimistic as to not overhype myself. I ultimately hope I will enjoy this album as much as Living Things. I am probably one of the few around here who thinks LT was great when it came out and has held up well over time.
That's a massive waste, Tom Morello on an LP album could and should have been epic.
Separate names with a comma.
