i don't like Coldplay for the most part But I have other music to hold me over, just old music haha. And Derek, I think Hawk was trolling or being sarcastic
apparently Linkin Park ISN'T going to be featured in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Instead, Imagine Dragons........ I give up on Michael Bay, not even going to watch the movie anymore, I was looking forward to see what song Linkin Park, but no
Yea, I usually rank Coldplay as my 2nd favorite band, but even this new album disappointed me. I just don't like it that much. There's a few decent tracks (I love O), but the lyrics are weak and Chris's vocal performance was better in the other albums. Also, I'm not really digging the whole electronic thing going on (I liked Midnight though), specifically the drums. Easily my least favorite Coldplay album by a long shot. Still, I won't rank them any less because of one album, I still love the other ones. As for on topic, I'd love a review from Derek. His descriptions of the songs are better than the others, imo. Hopefully they'll let him listen to it and review it within the next few weeks.
I'm still curious of what the other album holds. I mean really it's unknown to everyone so anything could be coming. Hopefully ALITS will be good.
This makes me happy! Imagine Dragons>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LP has so much music. ID is laggin, so im happy for a new song
I'm so hyped for Drawbar, if Tom Morello can pull off a solo similar to this (skip to 6:50 mark), I will cry:
Sounds like a mix of other solos that he has done before, namely Like a Stone in the beginning and Bulls on Parade in the middle.
I listened to The Shape of Punk to Come a few weeks ago and I really enjoy it. Checking out the other Refused albums to see if they're good too.
Not to get off topic but I agree with EVERYTHING you said. Those are all the reason I don't like it. Feels like a Chris Martin solo album. I need THP even more now!
The Shape of Punk to Come is one the greatest albums of all time, not to say the other Refused albums weren't good, they were just a bit more basic thrash, where as TSOPTC revolutionised the scene. Mike mentioned using this album as an inspiration, I can definitely see Linkin Park pulling off something similar, using Chester's scream and instrumental punch mixed with electronic elements.
I'm so glad Mike mentioned it. Otherwise, I may have never heard it. I can see what you mean. I'm most of the way through the first album. While I do like it, it doesn't hold a candle to TSOPTC. I would love if THP was as good, or better.
I love Linkin Park, but I don't think THP will come close, purely because of the impact that TSOPTC had on the punk/metal scene.
I'm still quite hopeful that THP will have the most raw, organic sound out of all their albums (maybe even more than MTM). I welcome real instrumentation over another batch of electronic sound effects, as cool as they usually are. That said, here's to hoping that we will be hearing more of Mr. Hahn's famous scratching and DJing!
