It was the number one movie for the weekend. I havent seen it yet, but i wondering what the people that have seen it think of it. Scary or not?
I've seen the original Japanese version, Ju-On. That movie is freaking scary. I haven't, however, seen The Grudge. But from what I've heard, it isn't that great.
Why is it, that everytime there's a horror movie that's 'the best' it sucks. I think it's going to be a bunch of fancy actors/actresses in an overworked plot with too many special effects. B-Movies are the best for horror.
Critics like to lie to you so they can fill their pockets after giving the movies good reviews. And yes, Ju-On: The Grudge was a much better version. Once again America steals a great idea from another source and rips it to shreds.

And they got freaked out and hung up. Now that's a sign of a great movie.

I don'y give a shit if it's good or not. 'Sarah Michelle Gellar' is in it so I'll be there on the front row.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the same director from the original version?
The thing is the director now has a lot more money than they had before, and that can really change how the movie is made. Instead of going for just the best actor/actress possible, you go for the one that will get the most ticket sales. Why? Because you can. Instead of concentrating on gripping the audience with the psychological terror, you can grip them with the special effects. Why? Because you have money.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the same director from the original version?
The director doesn't matter, it's the actors and the overall performance that does. He re-made the entire movie for no reason at all, other than to roll in the dough.
