Never heard a song WITH LP, but that would be awesome. The first song I heard from LP was of course OSC. Been a fan since. My best friend in high school introduced me to them before HT came out and I loved it. Anyone remember the intro on their website a long time ago with the repeating intro of "A Place For My Head"? That got me every time and I had to listen to the song .
Papercut. I had recently started my junior year in high school when Hybrid Theory came out. I walked into my local Camelot Music (now FYE) and sampled the new CD's on display, one of which happened to be Hybrid Theory. From the opening seconds of Papercut in October 2000, it was "love at first listen", so to speak, and I've been a fan ever since.
I actually got into LP from my older brother. he had some songs of theirs a while back (he hates them now, makes fun o' me for liking them still) and I heard One Step Closer and I was like whoah electric guitar. and then I heard faint and I was like RAGE but it was all good cause it was awesome music. I hope they remain my favorite band through this next album release.
I'm with all the older members with OSC. I actually saw a commercial during WWF Smackdown! (back when it was actually called WWF... hehe).
I heard In the End on a music progam called VoxPop at that time. It wasnt then i got hooked up with LP that came later but the song was good anyway .
In the end I was like 7 years old, and i heard my cousin playing the song on his PC and i went crazy and every time i went to his house he would play it, and i heard the whole album HT and i didn't know any of the track titles or even the bands name, i just loved the music...And here i am now
Mine was In The End. This must have been in late 2001 or early 2002. My friend allowed me to borrow his Linkin Park - In The End single edition. I just loved the song, and the Place for my Head became an instant favorite also, even if it was live on the single CD. The only bizarre thing with me was, I purchased the LP Meteora album first in 2003, then Hybrid Theory shortly after. So it took me a year or two to finally purchase the album. Maybe because I just had no time for music.
One Step Closer. I saw the video on MTV. I was like 11-12 years old. Looking back, I can't believe it's been 7 years.
I'm not sure it was along time ago, and I was instantly hooked. I think it was One Step Closer, but it could have been In The End.
