So I wasn't quite sure where to put this so I'll go on a hunch and post it in here. So basically I set this thread up so we can talk about eBay and other products that AREN'T of our own. Would you like to share any bad experiences? Any good bargains?

Been using ebay since 2003, I've only had one bad experience where a seller tried to steal my money. He/she had 30 feedback all positive so I thought the seller was legit but nope. I tried buying a video game, made my payment then like an hour later I get an email from ebay telling me the seller's account has been terminated for fraud. I just called my bank and had them cancel the payment. This experience hasn't stopped me from buying from ebay.

I've gotten some pretty good deals over the years but nowadays I mostly use ebay for film photography related stuff: old cameras, lenses, expired film, etc.

On a side note, I hate when sellers don't leave me feedback, sometimes I think they wait until I give them feedback so I do and still get nothing. Bastards.

I haven't used ebay in a while, I prefer Amazon. I've only had one bad experience where the product I received was not as described, the seller wouldn't respond to my message and he took months to post it when I had paid for first class postage. He was an asshole and I left him bad feedback. He was so pissed off after that, hahaha.

Haha same here, sorta. I had bought a copy of the BTH DVD when the seller said it was in Very Good condition. The disc was so scratched not even my PS3 could play it.

I use eBay a lot to purchase textbooks and other things. Honestly, though, if Amazon accepted Paypal, I'd probably shop there almost exclusively. Some of Amazon's deals are insane.

Best deal I've got on there in recent memory was a mint copy of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood for £20 within a couple of months of release, with it arriving within a day. Not bad.

I once tried to buy a pair of belts (one linkin park, one machine head) from this guy and he screwed me. I called him up after 3 weeks of not seeing a package and he was all, don't worry, it will be there. I then called him back after 3 more weeks and he said it will be there for sure in a week. a week and a half rolls by still nothing. Called him back and I got 'no one lives here by that name.' then tried some more and the phone was disconnected. Since it was over 60 days, I couldn't file anything through Ebay or even file a complaint against him. I brought it up to paypal and since it was over 60 days, I couldnt get my money back and they locked up my account for like 2 ywears. it was a huge clusterfuck and that asshat stole my money. I'm more conscious now about when my product should arrive.

I don't like eBay. You never, Megatron might find out how to use it like Optimus and track down what I am selling. :S
