With the "new LP/old LP" debate all over the net, what do you think is the main difference between the Linkin Park of 2003 and the Linkin Park of 2010? I would say the swift attack time of the heavy guitars, Joe Hahn's background wizardry and the mixture of live and electronic drums are the main thing I noticed disappeared with the later generation of music. For me, I don't think Mike has replicated the energy which the old music had, I hope he figures that out on the new album, either by finding another way to get that urgency (which he did with Waiting For The End and When They Come For Me.. slightly) or bringing those guitars back (you've got guitarists at your disposal Mike )
Like.. everything. Chester's voice got better. Their way of looking at music, but also themselves and their career has changed. Rob's got long hair. Et cetera.
The LP of 2003 made some pretty unoriginal crap music and had really rabid, unintelligent fans. The LP of 2010 made some pretty fucking creative music and had really rabid, intelligent fans. And a bunch of unintelligent fans that wished for the old sound and still haven't learned how to spell correctly and/or use spell check in the years since Meteora was released.
Mike and Chester have stopped dyeing their hair, Joe gain about 20 lbs, they have more people in their lives, Phoenix have a better golf score? *shrugs* lol I'm behaving!
