Couple of things about the Magic video: - YES. - Chris Martin is always a delight. Definitely my second favorite lead singer behind Chester. - Zhang Ziyi! I've always remembered her as that crazy girl from Rush Hour 2 and the CTHD/MOAG movies, so it was awesome to see her again. - Can I have Ghost Stories already?

I like the idea of a new album so soon, BUT, I want more experimental Coldplay, like what was found on Midnight, not some commercial stuff. I'm hoping there's more tracks like Midnight on Ghost Stories.
That's weird. Although if we're comparing it to what Radiohead did, Amnesiac wasn't actually a "more traditional" follow up to Kid A. It was pretty much just Kid A part two, and they lied and said it would be a "return to form" or whatever. Hopefully Coldplay doesn't feel the need to make a token big arena anthem album just for the sake of having another one.
Check out this great remix of Midnight by Giorgio Moroder. So good. https://soundcloud.com/giorgiomoroder/coldplay-midnight-giorgio-moroder-remix#t=0:00
It's just a remix, you can't really expect it to be better. However, I'm the same way. I'm still helplessly addicted to Midnight. Magic has also grown on me considerably since it first released.
Another wonderful track. I'm really loving how dark this album is going to be. It's titled Ghost Stories for a reason. For anyone doubting if they should listen - it's a wonderful performance. - Track times were revealed last night. Can't believe O is almost 8 minutes long. The album itself is 42 minutes long. And just a cool coincidence: The chorus of 42 says ''You thought you might be a ghost.''
Now that I've seen the track lengths I'm no longer on the fence about the relatively low number of songs.
The song lengths, along with the 3 bonus tracks with the Target edition, should make the album length not a problem.
New album trailer. I'm really digging the dark tone this album seems like it's striving for. And is it just me, or are the vocals in Midnight here mixed differently than the YouTube video? If so, perhaps that was done because no one had a fucking clue what Chris Martin was saying when the song first released. It also sounds like it has a bigger sonic landscape, if that makes sense.
HOTDAMN! That was amazing. I wish LP would take a note out of Coldplay's book when it comes to art direction. They've been slackin hard. Very few band fucks with Coldplay when it comes to promo/art direction.
Hell yah! The art direction for the Viva La Vida and Mylo Xyloto album cycles were absolutely magnificent! It's apparent that Ghost Stories is living up to them. I really need to see Coldplay live for the first time on this tour. I can tell that the shows for the upcoming tour is going to be something really special.
That's probably a live version. When Midnight is performed live, they play the acapella from the original, and have Chris sing normally over it. It sounds really beautiful. You can hear it on Live at iTunes festival. - Agreed with Agent O. Coldplay's art is mindblowing. - Big tour is still under a question mark. So far, only 6 intimate shows. First is Friday, I think.
